Its a very clever implementation by BlackBerry, i can just see the NOKIA Eseries product team saying "OH Now why didnt we think of THAT!?". Good on BlackBerry for always being 2steps ahead in terms of business/productivity devices.

The original blackberry storm was so bad i often had diaorrhea coming out of my anus whenever it was mentioned. lucky my doctor fixed it with a good ye olde plug...

Whilst from a technical point of view this can be viewed as an impressive step towards 24/7 connectivity, it may increase stress levels among users of this service by being constantly bombarded with notifications from the various email apps and social online networks they may participate in.
