HTC ready to face Apple in court, fully defend themselves

Apple should get lost... The only thing they are good at is copying populair interfaces and software, giving it their own twist, put it on some low-spec device which can't be customized, where the software is showing bugs or doesn't work at all, which won't allow you to sync with anything, while you can only use Apple software in order to do anything with your product, put their Apple logo on it which apparently instantly makes it a great design, put a pricetag on it which shouldn't even be legal anymore and then start complaining about how other companies "abuse" their power to keep prices "high" and how those companies "stole" their stolen innovations... But hey, that's just my opinion, right?

I costs money to have stores and you have to pay people to work in them.
You also have to pay people to research and develop new products.
I like dealing with strong companies who aren't going to be gone tomorrow.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2010-03-22 23:25 from vaH4 - click to read"they won't travel round the world to warehouses and stores that costs money"
--> apple does not produce their products, so they dont need to do this.
"they won't make electricity to power those warehouses and stores that costs money and they won't pay people to do all this stuff that costs money."
--> apple just pays a factory to produce for them. they do not worry about labor, electricity, cos thats covered by the factory. they do advertise and hv stores but the consumer is paying for the advertisement, which is something i am against. the consumer also pays for a warranty and sometimes extends this warranty. here they r paying for something apple hasnt even produced.
"Your list is stupid, it's requires communist slaves."
--> u do know that all apple products r produced in china right? and this is a pointless argument cos i know there r better computers than macs which are cheaper. i know better phones than the iphone that are cheaper, so how can u justify that apple charges more?

That's it.
They picked the wrong people to copy with Apple, Apple are protecting their intellectual property.

But a pile of the raw materials won't turn into a phone without inputs which cost money, they won't research and develop the software they run on that costs money, they won't sell themselves which also costs money, they won't travel round the world to warehouses and stores that costs money, they won't make electricity to power those warehouses and stores that costs money and they won't pay people to do all this stuff that costs money.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2010-03-21 22:40 from P%nm - click to readthe list isnt useless. it shows how much profit apple make per unit produced. that list ignores the fact that u get discounts for buying huge quantities (which apple does) and so the actual price of producing each unit is even cheaper. apple charge more than double the cost of producing 1 unit. besides unless u hvnt noticed, they didnt change the design of iphone or ipods for two yrs. if they r paying designers to come up with the same thing they had b4, then they r wasting money. more precisely ur money since ur paying for inefficiencies. according to the list the average dif btwn cost to produce is slightly above 300. lets say 300. multiply that by the amount of units pre ordered (minimum 150 000) and u get $45 000 000 as the minimum profit. dont tell me that designing something costs that much. even if it costs 1mil (which i doubt), the profit is $44 000 000. not bad for essentially an oversized ipod touch with a dif name.

lets not forget apple sued a school - thats right a SCHOOL just for using the same fruit in their logo , now is that fair?
my neice would probably get sued for drawing an apple in a tree in her colouring book.

Apple is jusj jealous and afraid of HTC's increasing popularity, Samsung, S.E and many others also including multitouch on their phones, then why do Apple only sued HTC not them.
Multi touch is included on Android so why not apple sued google, because they have no courage, they know that Google is thousand time more popular then Apple and if they do then people will not touch any apple product.

Apple is so annoying and iPhone is made for people who like kids stuff (entire day downloading stupid things from Apple store) while HTC has much more serious approach and I don't see why is Apple making so much noise except they can't handle competition.
As I can remember HTC started making phones earlier then Apple so why HTC doesn't sue Apple for many other things ?!!
