Yeah thats what Apple is all about. When someone gets ahead of them, cry like 4 yr and go to momma. I never like Apple, and never will. iTunes drives me nuts and keeps me attached to their world which I hate. Feels like I am their pet while using anything they produced.
hail HTC! u are my top 3 mobile brands.

Hard to take sides here,i kinda missed the why Apple feels that way about HTC,but i sure like what Peter Chou said, indeed,it seems important that we,the users, enjoy a free mobile experience, not dictated by one powerful company, but rather the creativity of many, big or small, yet if one comes up with something new and original, and it's copied without permission by others,i could understand why one might feel cheated.
In other words,i could really care less about the outcome

Yes I understand copyright etc.. Regadless of who is right or wrong.. I think the underlying fear from apple is that HTC is the up and coming company that is helping technology move forward quickly... Without the same restraints that apple places on their products/customers.

I'm joining the movement... Go HTC & Google. !!!

Go on HTC!! Don't get me wrong, I own an iPhoen and am very happy, but combining this latest action along with the infringements Nokia are claiming Apple have against their technology (basic GSM standards which Nokia invented!), more and more (if it wasn't already crystal clear) Apple are just bad people.

HTC, good on ya!!!! Maybe Apple will not sleep so easily now that they see that this "upstart" "little company" will not go down without a fight. And with Google also publicly saying that they will support Android and their partners (including HTC), things don't look so rosy for them folks at Apple anymore ...

But, only time will tell.
