Anonymous, 01 Dec 2015You should've put the Snapdragon 820 SoC the real beast not the sd810 if you want to call it l... moreAgreed ! And given the throttling issues of SD810 and the brand aiming for cost cutting , I am seriously concerned about the phone's performance for the end user. They might have even used the first SD810 version ( same as in GFlex 2) to cut corners
It all depends on preferences. To most outside the west , this date format is logical.
pritvi, 02 Dec 2015yes, you were only looking at high end phones :). yu and micromax phones are very popular here... moreI didn't see any Micromax's either, my eyes were open to all brands but they quickly locked into the good ones, and none of my Indian friends or their friends even uttered the words YU or Micromax when discussing phones over there it was only Samsung, Apple, LG, HTC or heck even Windows based Nokia. FYI I don't like Apple so clearly I don't think all American brands are superior and believe me I'm not the only one with this mindset, I'm more likely to buy a Samsung device before I buy another Apple phone ever again.
Is there any finger print sensor?
without it i think it will be not beast
AnDas, 02 Dec 2015I've been to India before (in fact I was there a month ago) and most of the people I know ther... moreyes, you were only looking at high end phones :). yu and micromax phones are very popular here. and even mi, meizu, and one plus are selling really well and huawei is also popular . now we have a proper flagship. Samsung has some reasons to sell that's why they are success. you people used to say India China crap phones in many places, why ?. you buy iPhones the only reason I can see is brand value. this brand value and hate to india china or sometimes system asian phones comes from the fact that you have something in your mindset thinking American brands are superior. actually made in India phones are of good build quality and price.
pritvi, 02 Dec 2015Samsung is cheap build quality, Apple is over priced by 300 $. but still they are selling well... moreI've been to India before (in fact I was there a month ago) and most of the people I know there that can afford a decent smartphone were using Samsung devices, from the Note 5 all the way to the Galaxy Grand Prime, some were even using Apple but they were the older models so there goes your priority. I even went to the malls and I didn't see any YU phones on display, maybe I missed it because my attention was on bigger and better brands lol And Samsung phones are just as popular as Apple phones here in the US so this allegiance to phones based on their country of origin is all hogwash.
me, 01 Dec 2015Not with you my friend that why americans buy iphone coz of brand is an american but the quali... morebut as Indians we want phones with quality, good price and good design. we wanted a proper Indian flagship it's now here, it's time to say goodby to one plus, mi, meizu and other Chinese crap brands selling well just because of it's price. made in India means quality and price. by the way I don't see any reason for buying 16 gb iPhone with high level limitations because of its features and most of these iPhones are in US.
Torero, 02 Dec 2015Isn't it what other companies like Shamesung do? Lol the galaxy line used shitty material for ... moreThat's true but they always used the latest and greatest internals as soon as they were available, whereas Yutopia or w/e its name is using an "old" 810 processor that most flagships already have been using for many many months now. 820 is right around the corner maybe YU got a cheap batch of them and finally started incorporating them into their handset. Nice try in bringing up Samsung's past, try comparing this no-namer to their best models today.
We Indians should support Indian brands. They are always awesome and best. Except for some over rich people wasting their money on Apple.
AnDas, 01 Dec 2015You make it sound like Americans only buy iPhones or Koreans only buy Galaxies, sure it's real... moreSamsung is cheap build quality, Apple is over priced by 300 $. but still they are selling well in their home market ?. just like that Indian brands will be big success here in India. that doesn't mean we only buy yu phones, but we have some priority towards Indian brands like you people does towards your home brands. if we get quality phones at cheaper price we will choose this over over one plus two since we have better service network and better quality. as usual India made phones are of better quality than Chinese phones (look at china made and India made Nokia/MS phones), and price difference is usually small. it's going to be a success in India, you will see..
AnDas, 01 Dec 2015No but stop trickin and hyping up people into thinking it's top notch material with words and ... moreIsn't it what other companies like Shamesung do? Lol the galaxy line used shitty material for years before they switched to metal and yet it sold like hot cake.
I said build quality, that includes materials.
You should've put the Snapdragon 820 SoC the real beast not the sd810 if you want to call it like that
For a second there I thought it was coming out in July 2015 lol man I always thought it was stupid to put the day ahead of the month, what a dumb format.
pritvi, 01 Dec 2015one plus phones are selling really well in India with cheap build quality and no service cente... moreYou make it sound like Americans only buy iPhones or Koreans only buy Galaxies, sure it's really popular here but we also buy from all kinds of recognizable and respectable brands that isn't based in Indochina. Indians have enough options to not settle for junk brands but hey you wanna support them simply because they're Indian be my guest it's your dollar...I mean rupee. And OnePlus isn't cheap, if it was then nobody would be buying it around the world including Indians and they know cheap phones when they see one, or at least they should by now due to enormous quantities of it in their country.
all these people saying pro about Yu devices are fanboys or paid shills employees maybe that CEO himself lurking around here with different names..
I have to agree these are cheap quality poor build quality..even their power bank sucked luckily returned it...They couldn't put a sticker on the power bank straight..such is the poor build quality..and the phones flat out suck..79 degrees Yureka/Yureka Plus.. joke...just like Xiaomi joke products...fortunately Xiaomi uses good parts but their design & choice of materials & software SUCKS...steel body on a phone makes Mi4 reach 82 degrees C...its like putting your hand on a burning stove...just go for good brands..these Chinese brands are gimmicks..they will intice you with features but will never support their phones in software
Torero, 01 Dec 2015What more do you need? 6gb ram? a new cpu? bigger screen? larger camera module? It's not the... moreNo but stop trickin and hyping up people into thinking it's top notch material with words and phrases like "beast". Call it mini-beast or something I dunno.
