Anonymous, 10 Apr 2010BT only works for headsets and music.
You can't watch videos or play games while on BT. Neit... moreI'm having a hard time believing someone ACTUALLY sat down and wrote a list of things that the iphone can't do. That is really sad, to think of how much hate this person has for a popular handset :(
His arguments are completely invalidated when he says he is campaigning to have the iphone NOT labelled as a smartphone.
That's dumb, here are a few links to counter his argument.
Apple's strategy seems to try to avoid you from puttign whatever you want in your phone. You can only put in stuff from itunes, and you can not download, and not receive files over bluetooth.
Basically, there is nothing an iPhone can do that nokia smartphone cannot, while nokia smartphone can do a lot more, basically those 3 I just mentioned, and a lot more. iPhone just uses a visually appealing ui. It's not really faster though. Me and a friend compared my 5530 to his iPhone, and mine connected to youtube app and started streaming video significantly faster.
ok now what
you have bashed others, others have bashed you
David, 10 Apr 2010Jeez.. is this some kinda joke? Anyone?
Just asking, it's a serious question.
Apple need... moreShhh, multitasking kills the battery in 5 minutes. Just like flash.
Hail to His Steveness
im really having a good time laughing at haters of the iphone..everytime they see a article about the iphone they come there and act as a genius pointing out flaws and bashing in some comments to discourage iphone users, but guess what? they are just laughing at you fools..we know that its mssing a lot of features, but you just cant accept the fact that its dominating the cellphone industry either you like it or not,its still the best seller phone in the market.so just accept the facts and just keep your mouths shut ok?
nani, 10 Apr 2010do this phone has bluetooth?BT only works for headsets and music.
You can't watch videos or play games while on BT. Neither can you send files.
iDon't handle videocall, but you can use this to enable it.
iDon't handle tethering, must pay extra to the carrier.
iDon't send MMS right, iShow wrong sender number.
iDon't A2DP (BT stereo) lags on videos(1) and games(2), due to the lack of native multitasking support.
iDon't AVRCP Bluetooth Profile - only some headsets work.
iDon't support any services when pairing with a MacBook.
iDon't have any BT file sharing my BT is almost useless!
das_fink, 10 Apr 2010I agree with you on that NvS, apple are pushing people torwards new hardware, inevitable really.yup..inevitable it is,this is what marketing's way--i'm also a marketing person--much like nokia played their fans with 5800,samsung with the jet,htc with hd2,and so on.
what i'm saying is in the end all we can do is choose what's the best for us,cause we must pay the price for that, and accept what we bought all the good things along the weaknesses and live with it cause nothing's perfect, otherwise sell it and buy another brand.
A cellphone is a part of life now, when you carried something with you all the time for hours everyday make sure it's for your best interest and most functional for you, some people even take this to emotional level and bound with it as their best friend.
I agree with you on that NvS, apple are pushing people torwards new hardware, inevitable really.
NO it's not a joke...and YES it is multitasking--in Apple's PoV.
Apple made this multitasking available after more than 3 years since they're in the phone business, you must admit that Apple change the way of touchscreen phones a lot, look at others now creating some even imitate iPhone's interface,if it's not for Apple's success in implementing simple UI,multitouch, and the App.store probably we're still using stylus and forced to be satisfied with 2,6" screen looking hard at microscopic words.
But there's still a weak point of Apple, despite their success with the hype they are still a newcomer, newcomer still have a lot to learn no matter how good their features they made.
Unfortunately this took too long to release,in fact this might not be a revolutionary feature since anyone with a jailbroken iPhone could do it 3 years ago.
One thing clear is their marketing strategy, this is the first time they announce their next steps just like se.
The good thing is this won't be like x10 case early notice and late release;it's obvious they have something in their mind, also by not allowing 2G and 3G users to have main new things in OS 4.0,it's clear Apple want them to switch to the new iPhone 4G,because so far the best experience i had for a phone is with iPhone.
So for now i'll stick to my 3Gs,waiting for the new iPhone 4G with its upgraded hardware, not just OS upgrade.
BTW khan, shut your mouth from bashing around in this forum and take your obsolete brain along with your narrow thoughts somewhere.
Anonymous, 10 Apr 2010I got to say Apple is a big company n still my favourit brand till now, people complaining abo... moreWow! That was....
Multistasking is about running multiple apps at the same time, not changing fast between apps.
You must be from that planet i mentioned in my comment below.
Well, i hate apple and all they stand for, but, good for them, finally some semblance of multitasking for the i phone, i think every other feature they added in this refresh is throw away, as in, not as useful as they sound, the key thing here is multitasking and denieing that is pointless.
I think the i phone is for the type of person who likes their phone experience to be handed to them on a silver plater, the app store in this case. All other options, android, WebOS, BB, maemo, symbiam et al are for people who like to create their own experience by tooling with what their given.
Long live WebOS!!!!!!

Jeez.. is this some kinda joke? Anyone?
Just asking, it's a serious question.
Apple need to have more respect for their customers!
Since when is that called multitasking?? Does Apple even know what multitasking is? This is called backgrounding in mobile phones and has been in even low-end cheap phones since 1998, it's not even remotely close to multitasking.
What planet is Apple from? Are the buyers from the same planet?
This is called multitasking
Anonymous, 10 Apr 2010The 4.0 homescreen and multi-tasking makes the iPhone look ugly. Apple's on a bad idea runn... moreThe ipad sold over 300,000 in just a few days. What ipad mess are you talking about? LOL.
