I have a Xiaomi Mi4 but the OS is still MIUI-V6.11.2.0. I haven't received any MIUI 7 update and I am still in Android Kitkat V4.4.4. Is there anything wrong with this unit? There's no update at all. The model number of my unit is MI 4W.
I will wait for the one with Marshmallow.
I already got my Mi3 MIUI 7.1 update before Christmas last year.
This is kind of belated news isn't it.
won't download if it's still based on kitkat
Another update after which I wont be able to see slightest difference ;)
My mi4i having focus issues with all updates! why they never fix this
I have a Redmi 2 Pro (as it is called here in South Africa, the one with 2Gb of Ram), it came with MIUI 7.0 out of the box, and 2 weeks ago i received an MIUI 7.1.1.0 stable update. According the article, this update moves to version 7.1.2.0.
Most likely will still be on Kitkat as 7.1.1.0 is still based on that level.
Every time I get a pop-up for the update, I install I face some or the other issues.
Last time, I had call drop issue (almost on every call I make/receive), when contacted customer care, they told not to install any of the OTA updates, as they are not stable.
Customer care have istalled MIUI 6.7.2.0(LXIMICH), and its very stable.
So Xiaomi are you cost saving by making use of these poor guys to test your software...???
Please dont release any updates untill it is stable ( well tested internally)
Stability is more important than new features....
