I think, M$ will kill the app? And merge with a new?
I just read that Microsoft pushing 'force upgrade' for Windows 10 starting today to make things EASY for their customers. You have 30days to revert back to old version after the force upgrade.
Finally they identify the problem to their Windows phone sale. Now they can rival iOS and Android
Gregory Opera, 03 Feb 2016Well, it looks like it's time to find a new keyboard...Try Flesky. Its what I've moved to.
Well, it looks like it's time to find a new keyboard...
Chen, 03 Feb 2016Yes, Microsoft can't do shit on their own; that's why Microsft is just one tiny little company.just like apple
Anonymous, 03 Feb 2016Microsoft can't do shit on their own. Such a pathetic companyYes, Microsoft can't do shit on their own; that's why Microsft is just one tiny little company.
Now Nutella is following Stephen elop.. acquiring software companies and destroy the hardware business.
Good one day Microsoft phones will become a history.
AnonD-42959, 03 Feb 2016250 million$ for a keyboard App ?? there's definitely something wrong with this world standards Not for the keyboard app, but for the "company" of the keyboard app.
ithehappy, 03 Feb 2016Yeah, SwiftKey, a keyboard for the average users, who can't fathom the idea of swipe based key... moreCan't what? Not sure what you mean.
There is already word flow (gesture input) in MS keyboard.
mir, 03 Feb 2016Should've spent the money on developing their mobile OS. Might actually work properly for once.Your are correct,
When I read that, that was also my thought as well.
Really can't see the point myself buying another KB when there are more important things to do.
Should've spent the money on developing their mobile OS. Might actually work properly for once.
They should invest 10% of that money and finally hire some programmers to develop their shitty wm10 os
poor Microsoft.
I've bought it for $1.99
Yeah, SwiftKey, a keyboard for the average users, who can't fathom the idea of swipe based keyboards, no one ultimately cares, both SK and MS.
regs, 03 Feb 2016Totally pointless acquisition. They better spend those $250 mln to improve own apps - underfun... moreThey should use those 250M$ to improve their smartphone lineup, OS and market :D
NOoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
xcellor8, 03 Feb 2016Swiftkey for WP? Can it be real one day? They will just reuse some of its features in Windows Keyboard. Which is actually quite good. It only needs better dictionaries, yet SwiftKey dictionaries are much worse, and better support for languages aside of English. It needs emoji UI completely reworked from 0 to make it look VK or iOS like. And needs a bit better UI for suggestions. Current is like from Android 2 is poorly usable as well. That's it.
kurotsuki, 03 Feb 2016Well... For starter, at least they develop the Windows Phone 7 (and 8 and then 10) from scratc... moreWell their windows software did help to reduce sales enough to buy it lol, and they bought Nokia but didn't do any better too (ok contunum was good try but in beta stage) with same design always and same shitty os, Microsoft doesn't do much good with buying companies, so I am worried SwiftKey, so can anyone suggest a better keyboard for Android?
Totally pointless acquisition. They better spend those $250 mln to improve own apps - underfunctional store, maps, dialer, people, music and video players, feedback, ugly translator etc etc. And to make good apps to popular non-US services around the world.
