Big rise in new market is very obvious, kind of like the "oh look at the WP sales rate!". 0 to 30 million in two year, then next year it's going to be 30 to 50 mill. I predict the cap around 80 to 90 in year 4. This is not "up up". This will hit the cap way faster than the tablet cap which took about... I guess 5 years too. Not sure if you've seen the 90% plunge in iWatch sales 3 months after launch. It's the most redundant technology in this decade.

AnonD-442781, 18 Feb 2016If you had a smart watch then it probably offers close to nothing. But smart watches aren't re... moreI agree they aren't too common as yet, and I do hope some indian or chinese company comes out with something super affordable for the masses to experience it. However it is a rapidly growing market. WRT the battery life, it's inevitable, unless they create a battery that could last for months at a time, you will still be taking your smartwatch off to charge it, I have found that I can wear my Apple watch 24/7 basically if I charge it when I shower in the morning and evening, I'm guessing the gear s2 has more or less the same charge times and battery life? But yeah, it's not a train smash. But yup for the most part we on the same page :)
*eyes rolling*
Whatever work. Was hoping to see the the S7 Edge come with somewhere between 4000 to 4500 mAh battery.
Yes it will have an always on screen. But it would only account for about 4% of battery. Also battery will be 3000mah

This time, Samsung has the cue ball from me. Congratulations.
Anonymous, 18 Feb 2016yup,
it's nothing new.
old cellphones like Motorola or Siemens S25 have an "always on" disp... moreSo true, back then the "feature" was when a phone could turn-off the display during stand-by.
Bosch 909 Dual S does come to mind, but wasn't the only one.
"Always On the charger", surely that's what they mean...
Honestly, i really appreciate this fact in the decision of companies LG and Samsung. It is something nice to puppies logo marks and on the screen.

If i could talk to it like i do with my phone, that really would be something. But till then it's just a battery drainer with that Bluetooth always on.
I'd rather have a cool watch that displays the time in binary from Tokyo Flash.. It's a LOT cheaper too..
So what? If the Samsung/Android duopoly repeat their stalled rollout of the S6, S6 Edge and note 5 Marshmallow os update (six months and counting), then the new s7 iterations won't be available until Christmas, maybe?

AnonD-362866, 18 Feb 2016They should, esp if it's Samsung with the price point of the gear s2. The market will only grow. There's a reason why even Apple's watch sales figure is falling. Watch market isn't growing in current state. Interest in smartwatches in the general public is very low.
Meanwhile apple have a working keyboard and 1mega pixel camera.Iphone smartphone for stupid people.
