i would like to see google put notification count badge on icons
Reminds me of S6/S7 6.0 notification panel. Not talking about colors of course. There are quick toggles when swiping once and when hitting the arrow down button (that strangely wasn't present in 5.1 on S6) they expand...
Not sure why they ever removed that in the first place.
But I'm happy to see the app drawer there.
When others are taling about Android N. I am here waiting for Android M on S6 Edge in India. Thank you Samsung for being that quick.
Anonymous, 01 Mar 2016nope will be Nabisco lolNever heard to Nabisco. I guess it will be Nougat.
I hope they don't remove the app drawer :(
AnonD-152638, 01 Mar 2016So quick toggles on the notification page, again. That is good news. I never got why they remo... moreZ3 will get MM in in next 7days and I believe that it will get even next android N ...
Herodroid, 01 Mar 2016it will be Nutellanope will be Nabisco lol
AnonD-152638, 01 Mar 2016So quick toggles on the notification page, again. That is good news. I never got why they remo... morewow.. rlly? do you use settings? there is an option for quick pulldown and you can choose which sides to choose right or left and it will pull down toggles
now that finger scaners are everywhere I hope that google goes back to capacitive buttons or at least change that ugly lollipop design.
yeah get back to ICS and KK now..stupid google ..first they f**** up the toggles completely in 5.0 and 6.0 and now they wants to go back and also remove app drawer..
So quick toggles on the notification page, again. That is good news. I never got why they removed it. Most of the time when I pull down the notification bar, it's to activate wifi, bluetooth or mobile data. I don't like to have to swipe down twice to access that.
The two finger swipe is seldom pratical, as it requires two hands.
I hardly use notifications at all.
If they havent in M, I also think they should chage the behaviour of swiping up, so if you are in the toggle mode, one swipe should be enough to close the notification.
Why would you want to go from toggle mode to notification mode? That makes very little sense. So swipe back up twice or two presses on the back key should not be required to get rid of the notifications.
I guess the removal of the down arrow next to bluetooth and wifi means that press and hold will get you to settings. I prefer this. But they should leave the option of pressig the down arrow for those that does not know press and hold will get you to the setting.
More than one page of toggles is also good news.
All the toggles I want does not fit on one page.
Unfortunately my Z3 will probably not get N.
I havent gotten M, yet.
My K Zoom never even got L. I was hoping for RAW support for the camera and L has RAW support built in to the OS. But I dont think Samsung released any device with RAW support on L. Not sure they have any device with RAW mode, even to this day.
USB-DAC was alredy supported on my K Zoom.
The chrome TABs in recent apps, I'm not completely sold on. In order for it to work fluidly, there should be a open new tab as well from recent apps. Now, half of the time when I want a new tab on my Z3, I press the recent apps key, having two places to handle tab management, isnt logical at all.
So If they would not have implemented RAW support on L, I would not really have cared for that update anyhow. My K Zoom already has toggles on the notification page, so I can go without N as well. At least from the look of things now.
But I do miss the app permission from M, for both my devices. But the Z3 should get it, at least.
AnonD-497388, 01 Mar 2016It could be Nestlé cococrunch or it could be Android Nori Sheets hahaha'Nestle Cococrunch' would have the company name starting with N, so that doesn't work. Besides cereals being considered as a sweet/dessert is too much of a stretch than even Nutella.
Nori Sheets is a snack isn't it? More of a spice and salt snack like a chips substitute, if that's the case that won't work either.
just great almost all of the smartphones not even updated to marshmallow now N great andy
AnonD-259899, 01 Mar 2016Come to think of it Nougat has more of a practical chance because it is an actual sweet, Nutel... moreIt could be Nestlé cococrunch or it could be Android Nori Sheets hahaha
Come to think of it Nougat has more of a practical chance because it is an actual sweet, Nutella is just a spread than a stand alone sweet/dessert but given the marketing potential for a Google-Ferrero SpA tie up Nutella could make an exception.
AnonD-75247, 01 Mar 2016N = nasi gorengNot a sweet/dessert.
Pretty high chance it is going to be Nutella
N = nasi goreng
they are already talking about N while majority of android phones still hasnt got lollipop or marshmallow. thats just great...
The notification pull down window looks like the one on my Xperia!
