samsung pay is awsome...! however i have story to share. i went to a store and use it to pay..1st try it did work no, error. 2nd try didnt work again, no error. 3rd try didnt work and the cashier told me that because im using samsung pay...so i decided to let other people behind me and i went to a different cashier...this time its older woman on the cash register and it worked! great! so my conclusion is to this is that the guy on the first register is an apple person and sabotaging samsung pay...
i hate samsung strategy in releasing to much phones a year. i dont find my self to be proud my new phone after a year or months because there is already upcoming next version of my phone like my samsung s6 edge right now there is no place for s6 edge right because s7 is already there.
Can somebody prove to me that samsung phone is good that it can be good at any risk..... like dropping accidentally, or how can i manage when my battery already humps, or how can samsung fight to other phone companies that using their own os, how samsung compete with this phones using its own os. Now i can laugh out loud with samsung. Btw how many samsung i've buyed and yet out dated os still stock on kitkat/stock on lollipop limited update to lollipop. I have also problems on samsung phones when 1 year/2 years that you are using their device you will find problems. And to all samsung fans try to stock your phones for a long period of time not that to much time and see if its gonna still work
What!? $16.8 million? Hahaha That's peanut to Samsung! lol And the service alone is worth hundred of millions! What a great investment by Samsung. A lot of people are already looking for Samsung flagships for this service alone. I'm sure there will be plenty of profits more in years to come. Congrats Sammy!
Guys, seriously, you need to read. They are comparing the stock price for PayLoop with the price that it has now that it's under the name of samsung pay. For Samsung as a whole company this is actually a win. Some people may even choose their phones over others due to samsung pay... and even leaving that aside, they're getting purchases information from customers which is actually extremely important for any company that provides services for general public since they usually spend a lot of money making surveys and investigations (even paying other companies for purchase databases access) to get this info. At the end this is just a nice investment which may help them improve their services.
That idea is not bad, but as way of transposition in practice leave much to be desired on the part of Samsung.
But Samsung financial losses are not only in this sector. You will soon see, when they would see profits last year. There will be little surprises compared to what Samsung said, until today, that is profit ... great. No way.
For me, chinese phone is now more appealing.
But samsung pay make me want a samsung device again. Maybe A5.
Doesn't seem too bad.
They probably see it as a long-term venture, it might have some time in the red before it really takes off.
Good
Anonymous, 07 Mar 2016Well then all they have to do is tighten it.hahahah, i meant, lose
but i see wat u did there......
Almand, 07 Mar 2016If you don't make anything out of it, the only way it can go is loose, isn't it?!Well then all they have to do is tighten it.
$16.8 million is NOTHING for Samsung.
For Samsung, it is called investment. You must invest (put=lose money) FIRST before you get dividend.
Samsung vision (and ambition).
Time will tell.
They may earn money if they enabled it everywhere. I don't believe it's so hard to do. It could work almost in any place that accepts credit card. So how hard could it be. However, they probably have a reason not to do it.
But this is really not my area of expertise. Whatever happens there it's their fault/credit. I wish them to succeed as this seems much better than any paying service. But then again if you can carry your phone, chances are you'll be carrying your card too. So perhaps some benefits would go a long way...
AnonD-411799, 07 Mar 2016are you so dumb? they invested in the service, but did not yeild any profits as of now.You might want to read before you call someone dumb lol. Read the original article at the source. They are comparing Loop pay vs Loop pay after Samsung bought it. loop pay only does High end Galaxy devices now that Samsung owns it.
So Einstein of course they will make less money. But does Samsung care? NO. Loop pay is doing exactly what Samsung bought it to do, put payment system in Galaxy devices.
Understand now little one?
If you just factor in the immediate financial side only, they might have lost, but
consider the data they have access to, and imagine how much worth that is in today's world
I would not say they lost anything......
Anonymous, 07 Mar 2016How can Samsung Pay lose money when they don't make any money from it at all? -_-are you so dumb? they invested in the service, but did not yeild any profits as of now.
This article is so misleading... It is viewing Samsung Pay (Loop pay) as a separate business. That is why it seemed as if they made a loss. They are only servicing Galaxy phones now. It is just common sense.
How is it that they lost money when they should be never spending any money for this service? Strange concept and no business sense...
