This is why HTC is one of my favorite company. They have customer service and technical supports. They always update there firmware, unlike samsung and LG, they are the worst.
My brother send HTC HD2 to HTC on thursday (phone only, no battery need)then he receive next tuesday from HTC. Surprisingly how quickly they repair and return. Truly impressive with their support.

very very dissapointed with hero update.
no support whatsoever!!!

Correction to GSM Arena team: even if they have promised, but when they keep delaying it has became unbearable for all Hero users, ask them!

never buy HTC phones until it is already installed inseide your phone and not before!!! the v2.2 update in this case.

if mytouch with 528 mhz cpu, ram 192 mb ram and 512 rom get froyo. that means all the moto can get froyo. because android moto phone have less them 550 mhz cpu, 256 ram, 512 rom. and with this all moto will probably get gingerbread.

Indeed, it will get the Froyo, but next year, cause we now how HTC upgrades Hero to 2.1. Almost one year has passed :))))))))
