PHM83, 16 Mar 2016I completely agree with you. I've always felt that this website is somehow trying to show down... moreIt's not just HTC. They only go gaga for anything Sammy. Every second news/blog here is in praise of S7 somehow.
Aonex16, 15 Mar 2016WTF is up with the tone of this article? So derisive. I'd expect that from the trolls on the c... moreMust be that the author is fed up from past HTC camera performances, which decidedly was nothing to write about. HTC has done a lot of hot air talking with little to back it up. HTC needs to deliver on their lofty claims otherwise more derisive articles will start cropping up not just here but everywhere else.
Abbadonsgey, 16 Mar 2016Yeah bro it's as if the writers are always pro Samsung and others are just mehEven i moved to comments section to see if i were the only one feeling this... even a novice would have described the news in a better way...
Aonex16, 15 Mar 2016WTF is up with the tone of this article? So derisive. I'd expect that from the trolls on the c... moreI completely agree with you. I've always felt that this website is somehow trying to show down a certain manufacturer. I don't know how or what has HTC deprieved GSMArena off!!
Theyve never had a phone with a decent camera, let alone class leading. If it cant beat the camera of the s7, g5 and iphone 6s, dont bother.
Aonex16, 15 Mar 2016WTF is up with the tone of this article? So derisive. I'd expect that from the trolls on the c... moreI absolutely agree with you about GSM Arena on the sarcasm tone directed in this article and in general on HTC. Our team have been doing research over the last 12 months on many HTC articles after we noticed the trend for awhile now. It is strikingly obvious on the underlying and purposeful downplay on HTC both in general copy and in places, the choices of images. Every opportunity is used to reflect and remind the audience of negativity or pass offs. Say what they want but it is not good.
I look forward to HTCs new flagship and the innovations they are trying to do. It is a class act with the A9 and hopefully the 10 is too.
1ns0mniac, 15 Mar 2016"World Class, Front and Back. YouÂ’ll see". WTH is that? LOL!I feel like Donald Trump is doing HTC's PRthese days.
HAHA... I expected that It would be just an Another marketing sale-bait propaganda like Ultra-Pixel or another naming stuff like that again to fool its customers that it is a kinda revolutionary... LOL
Anonymous, 15 Mar 2016Such superior build quality that my M7 unit had the infamous sensor issue rendering purple tin... moreI had a m7 2 years after it came out I got it second hand and HTC replaced the camera with the purple tint issue for free and paid for my shipping and I have the m9 currently which I love I don't get the hate
HTC struggles to even make a decent camera, I very much doubt that they have a world class one in store this time around...
ithehappy, 15 Mar 2016LOL! HTC, you have to deliver a capable camera first, lecturing won't get you anywhere given y... moreI'm not pro or anti HTC, but bruh, you sound unwise right now. You keep on whining yet you haven't seen the performance yet. The phone hasn't been released, yet you sound like an old dog who only barks and barks. How can they prove that their new camera is great if they're not given the chance to show it to the world. People like you should just shut up and leave ok?
Battery battery battery...should be key on this device. I read somewhere where the battery is rumored to be 4000mAh. If this holds true...that will be huge and will definitely orientate many minds towards this device. Even though it is lacking front facing BoomSound speakers, some will forgive HTC this time. But BoomSound is HTC'S staple and they have to return to it.
claudiu, 15 Mar 2016HTC camera is one of the worst. Not to mention ultrapixel tehnology Was one of the worst. In M7 and M8...
Ultrapixel is just a marketing name HTC came up with to name what DSLR makers have been doing 2 decades now - larger pixel photosites. Unfortunately they forgot to also use a larger sensor as well. They used a tiny 1/3" sensor with few megapixels, to come out with 2um pixel size.
Problem 1 - they used an unproven sensor from an unproven vendor, which caused a ton of issues, including that notorious purple halo. They should have paid a little extra per sensor, and got it from Sony, the same way every other manufacturer does, including Samsung for most of their phones.
Problem 2 - they used a small sensor, even by the standards of 3 years ago, which forced them to have a low pixel count. A 1/1.5" sensor would have resulted in a 16mpix sensor, using the same pixel size. 1/2" around 12mpix, 1/2.5" around 6-8 mpix.
