> In reply to Anonymous @ 2010-06-21 22:19 from YgCH - click to readIphones are made by Foxconn, not in America.
Android is based Linux, so to a very large extent a world wide project and not one that can be strictly attributed to Americans. Linux was first the product of a a Finnish man, but of course Linux is derived from Unix, which is American in origin (Bell Labs), back in 1969.

14MP is a standard in Japan, they have a minimum of 12MP in their phones. Why can't we get it?

> In reply to mickey @ 2010-06-19 04:21 from PBC@ - click to readWhy should they?
the 14MP sensor they've used probably has less noise than any 5MP module on the market, since 5MP use old tech, producers dont make new modern 5MP sensors.

Besides they have put a lot of effort on image quality on this phone.
So there should be no problem with Image Quality. Seems youre just here to complain.

Better zoom? How? that would make the phone thicker.

frankly they should have put a 5mp cmos instead, better IQ and zoom.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2010-06-18 12:04 from iIR0 - click to read14mp is a market pitch here to grab attention because Altek is a new name for consumer and a new name in mobile world yet not new in game of camera world. So how you stand up? Bring the higher numbers and this is exactly what is happening here, again if they deliver good quality snaps then its going to be a wow product for photographers.

Nice price with that featureset when compared other recent highend phones. I have been waiting something like this since Nokia's N93... (wonder why Nokia didn't make other phone with optical zoom). Interesting to see what kind of battery life is promised.
