does this phone have alphanumeric texting? yknow like ordinary plain phones? please reply i hate texting on a qwerty keyboard
No LED flash, no torchlight, no incall- recording
Yek. They can keep it. It looses more than it gains. It's just a fat X10-mini with normal android resolution so that more apps run as they should.
I was so excited to know that this phone will cost around 200 euros, but this excitement turned into disappointment when from another source I got to know it will cost about 250 euro's. But even then I'll buy this phone, if gsm-arena's review shows that it has more than decent audio quality.
mind blowing, excellence speaks.....
dont miss timescape & mediascape( which beats all features)
Anonymous, 22 Jun 2010it's got 128M of RAM, and 128M of ROM.i think it has more of ram
As for today 200 euro ~ 11,500 INR
fu$1, 21 Jun 2010All I heard was yada yada yada 200 €uros and it Fails can't compete with samsung waveits not trying to! Not every company want to compete with your favourite phone.
Anonymous, 21 Jun 2010its 128 rom not ram it's got 128M of RAM, and 128M of ROM.
If this is priced below or around the Rs. 10,000/- mark in India, it will give a taste of the android and the freebies that comes with it to the middle class market.
Its lack of a complete camera package cud be a hindrance, as it cud have been more spicier with a 3.2 MP AF with Flash of a 5MP AF with Flash.
The phone do looks bulky.
Its main competitors are Samsung Monte with GPS and WiFi and 3MP Camera, the nokia 5530, but non offers android at this price range.
I do not understand the commercial plan of sony ericsson, the x10 mini should be where the X8 is for the price placement !

Anonymous, 21 Jun 2010btw it's going to have just 128Mb of RAM according to MForum. so it won't have any significant... moreWell, there is one point (or two). It is good (not the best) looking device and it is coming from Sony Ericsson.
Looks really thick, and the screen's not big enough for it's size. Not interested :(
btw it's going to have just 128Mb of RAM according to MForum. so it won't have any significant difference to samsung i7500, except for design. but i7500 has larger screen - 3,2''. so there is no point to wait for x8. anyone who needs x8 functionality simply can buy samsung i7500, which is here on the market for about a year already.
Recommended price was officially set 'under 10000 rubles', so i suppose 9990. That's about 250 euro / $330 USD.
Niraj, 21 Jun 2010Afaik Xperia series is for high end products by SE. I dont understand Why this phone has been ... moreI think it is to give taste of high-end experiences to mid-range market users. Neat idea for business because while X10 is sitting on top of being the sexiest (and expensive) many can only wish to buy but they can try out this one easily.
And yes flash would be an advantage but for the price, its not too bad.
