She works in I.T. all the routers are Huawei.. I've seen many comments about cheap and Chinese, that's rapidly becoming a compliment not an insult.
AnonD-507785, 18 Apr 2016Well...you know, you've got to have a laugh here and there ;) Anyway...I've heard more reports... moreAbsolutely bang on!
I have tried a few Huawei devices - liked the Ascend Mate 7, but Huawei is relatively expensive compared to some other Chinese brands, like Meizu and Xiaomi. The P9 Plus will be in the same range as the HTC 10 to buy outright.

I've never really considered Huawei, but my brother got it, and I've had a chance to play with it a bit. It really is a decent device. Since then I watch closely what Huawei does, and I think I'll grab P9 Plus the moment it comes out (which should happen soon).
Dave, 17 Apr 2016Too bad it has a crappy Kirin chip, otherwise it would be the perfect phone. Why? Because it shows, that it can run everything you throw at it smoothly for the long period of time? Unlike Snapdragon or Exynos (which have a great performance until they start heating up). Do some research man. Or are you another "anonymous" troll here?
AnonD-275228, 17 Apr 2016Lol... Frying eggs and bacon... Seriously though... 30-40% throttling on Exynos and Snapdragon... moreWell...you know, you've got to have a laugh here and there ;) Anyway...I've heard more reports from other sources, not only from GSMA. Android Authority and TechRadar being next to confirm the same thing. I guess that's how the chase for the highest benchmark scores ends. It's a weird irony though. They've made it for the top end gaming experience and VR (mainly that, no other point of having such a graphical power in the phone), but then if you are a pro gamer or VR phone user, you better stay away from Adreno 530 as it will heat up and throttle after just 20-30 minutes of stress use, which you will notice. Well then...ain't that a "kick me in the nuts and spit on my neck" kinda deal.

Seriously though... 30-40% throttling on Exynos and Snapdragon after only 20 minutes use due to overheating.. Reported on LG G5, Samsung S7 and Nexus 6p. Reviewer of the P9 reported that the device remained cool during benchmark tests!
I'm going to be eagerly awaiting news of a P9 max.. But the P9 plus looks interesting enough to warrant being examined closely on its release. Kirin chipset is close enough to the competition to be considered.. I just want build quality.. Previous interactions with Huawei doesn't fill me with confidence albeit they were budget devices.
Im waiting the p9 to release in my place!

ethereal, 17 Apr 2016It's more of OIS and bigger screen in favor of Plus I guess. I guess P9 plus doesn't have OIS I'm not sure though
Correct me if I'm wrong
Actually I feel P9 plus got a slight better reception due to
- Bigger Battery
- Power efficient AMOLED
- 3D Touch display
- Stereo speakers
- Bigger screen of course coz some people love bigger screen estate
MarkusLeto, 17 Apr 2016I'm intrigued by the camera. Can it replace my 1020?No way please don't do that ... I did it by replacing my 1020 with s7 edge
Still not convinced with their pricing.
Either the base model P9 should have been 64 GB or they should reduce the price. Otherwise I don't see it facing the wrath of might Galaxy S7/S7 Edge duo
MarkusLeto, 17 Apr 2016I'm intrigued by the camera. Can it replace my 1020?No, the Leica name is just there for marketing purposes, samples are smudgy and corners are just distorted and not in focus.
No 4k video recording, sub par audio output through headphones, pathetic gpu performance for 2016 and im sure software updates won't be timely. Too many conpromises for one phone that commands such a high price.
For me no
Because of the price
Xiaomi mi5 costs 300$
Flagships are no longer worth such prices as you get worse support and updates after the release of another version of android
My positive response is for great mobile photography, whether comes from dual cameras or single camera.
for me ?? yess....
