Samsung Wave sales reach 1M, Galaxy S keeps the pace - read the full textToday Samsung announced an important milestone for the first handset to run their very own Bada OS. The SuperAMOLED-packing Samsung S8500 Wave sales have exceeded 1 million units worldwide, just under four short weeks after its release. It might not sound quite impressive if you compare it to...

I had an argument a while ago about the whole Samsung Android and Apple debate. I then decided to look into the whole matter.

Let me start off by saying I cant wait for my Galaxy S. If Boeing are copying what the Wright Brothers invent a million years ago we would still be traveling in wooden death traps. Same goes for the iPhone. Good idea, but it has been surpassed. And so fast that Steve might loose his job again! If you look at samsung, they have already sold more than 800mil phones worldwide. Thats just short of the billion apps that Apple has sold. Usless info i know but there it is. If Samsung had to list its Revnue of USD170 Plus Billion per year as an economy it would rank at no 35 in the world. Bigger than that of Argentina. And that was for 2008/2009. Samsung's Lunch budget is bigger than Apple's RnD budget. So come out and play Apple.

Samsung wave is great phone to reckon with other i-phones.first ever bada operating system running on a smart-touch screen phone. my question is why is this model being delayed to be shipped in NIGERIA market. The demand for this model is increasing because of the various ads on the internet.

Please release the model to us....i can wait to have one as mine.

Stop your crying ... not all are iPhones lovers and failing into the trap of being stuck with AT&T drop-calls.

I bet when iphone users see other phones with front facing cameras all of a sudden it was a rip off of iphone too! lol Get over it! iphone was so 2007! and for the record Apple didn't invent the wheel.. =))

I'd rather just have better quality apps. I'd settle for 10,000 quality apps over 100,000 reasonable apps anyday! the apps are fine for me still though.

The only reason I consider not buying this is the apps. Need more apps!!

I have got my Samsung Wave less then a week ago and all I can say is this is the best phone I have had so far! Take in consideration that I am coming from a long line of smart phones that include Iphone 3gs, Nokia N900, HTC HD2, and Xperia X10. This thing blows them out of the water in build quality, screen (OMG still can't get used to how nice the Super AMOLED is) software BADA (good job Sammy!) and audio quality (Best qaulity both in earpiece and speaker phone I have ever heard) Competition is good and makes companies step their game up. So far Samsung seems like is taking over the world... electronic wise at least lol Best LEDs 3D LEDs and now cell phones!

Since people have started making the inevitable comparisons to the iphone(again),has anyone made a research how those iphone sales are distributed? How many of the 1.5 million are in North America, and how many in the rest of the world.

After reading all the comment, the existing owner do not have anything but praising this phone.

The bashing coming from non owner.

Maybe this phone and BADA is really good.

For support, pls dont spread lie. It is not good for your health.
My ancient omnia got four major firmware update.
