huawei are a pain to repair lol and looks like that one should be ok as long as you dont have to replace that silly looking flex that looks like a flat snake rofl
AnonD-399271, 07 May 2016There are only 1% people like you. Other 99% would want great screen, fast processor excellent... moreOK fine. But what all that has to do with the reparability score? Of course there have been devices with top notch hardware yet with great reparability score.
In my opinion, the device must score > 7 by all means. Again, may be it's only me. However, I fixed the z3c of mine and my wife's changing the whole LCD combo myself. It was not all so smooth though. The adhesive used was a real nuisance!
Angry Mobile Nerd, 07 May 2016Exactly. I am 10 times more concerned about quality and durability. Ifixits system is flawed... moreI may add that a successful repair does not guarantee longevity and stability, it must be observed as recommended. Or worse, the repair might be the impetus to complications and ultimately, the gadget's demise(and your wallet) . Btw I approve of dumbphone repairs :)
Anyway let's leave it to others who reaaally know their stuff and John Stark :P
ethereal, 07 May 2016Oh really? How about a guy like me who likes to do DIY kind of stuff? I'm sure there will be many. There are only 1% people like you. Other 99% would want great screen, fast processor excellent graphics, wonderful camera, good video capabilities and long lasting battery from their phone.
ethereal, 07 May 2016Oh really? How about a guy like me who likes to do DIY kind of stuff? I'm sure there will be many. I'm one of them, but I wouldn't wanna risk my M7. (It has a really low repairability score)
AnonD-510098, 06 May 2016Better than samsung lmaoObviously because S7 is waterproof and waterproofness is achieved with using glue.
AnonD-399271, 06 May 2016Repairability is the last thing people would be concerned about before buying a phone.Oh really? How about a guy like me who likes to do DIY kind of stuff? I'm sure there will be many.
AnonD-399271, 06 May 2016Repairability is the last thing people would be concerned about before buying a phone.Exactly. I am 10 times more concerned about quality and durability. Ifixits system is flawed and misleading as people with substandard intelligence on the internet (which is most people) will think a phone with a high repairability score means its high quality, too, which is totally not the case. As technology gets smaller and smaller it only makes sense they are going to become less and less repairable on the end user level so in the future all devices will naturally have low repairability scores.
AnonD-399271, 06 May 2016Repairability is the last thing people would be concerned about before buying a phone.Maybe for many people, but not for everyone. Certainly not for me.
I plan to keep my phones for more than 4 years. The ability to change the battery is critical. I don't mind using a screwdriver, but adhesive is unacceptable. My current phone is a LG V10. My last phone was a Nokia N8. And before that, a Nokia E51. I needed to change the speaker and the rubber buttons to get 4 years out of it.
AnonD-510098, 06 May 2016Better than samsung lmaoYes, is better than my microwave oven Samsung
Repairability is the last thing people would be concerned about before buying a phone.
AnonD-510098, 06 May 2016Better than samsung lmaothats logical... Samsung has more features, the most important - waterproof. Though its very good that huawei phone has good repairability
Better than samsung lmao
