This latest update is horrible. Hard to see, hard to use common apps like text and phone. Loss of favorites to text easier. Biggest problem is when you have events in your calendar they disappear after little time. This is unacceptable. Is anyone having the problem with the calendar and any suggestions. I am thinking of switching to iPhone. When emailing and texting not recognizing words. Camera sucks. Used to be great.
Original TJ, 04 Apr 2017I hate the new galaxy s7 update. Had zero issues with it before. Everything is completly diffe... moreCompletely agree. Who has time for this? I can't freaking see anything anymore, and every setting I took so much time to tweak is just GONE. I did not agree to this, what a waste of time, and loss of trust to this company. Never again.
Lastest software done on s7 phone very slow keeps switching notification sounds off apps are un responsive fonts are tiny hate it . Biggest bug bare is screen freezing. Comeon samsung sort it out
Since i updated i get these screens that say i have viruses and if i dont down load some app, i will be locked out. I close all and it goes away but i have never gotten that message before. Also, i cant adjust the brightness from the pull down and i am not a fan of the new layout. Someone suggested making layout changes optional, great idea! Love Samsung s7 almost as much as the 5. Thanks for adressing issues.
Loved my Samsung7 Edge unroll the April System update. Even functions and screen displays inside the apps have changed. Not sure this update was tested enough during the development/design phase.😕
WORST UPDATE EVER! I know most of us don't like change but this is beyond that. This update changes so many things and has made some things much more difficult (ie text messages, predictive text, talk text, settings, etc etc etc). I have always said I would never get an iPhone but thus update al9ng with the battery issues are pushing me right in the arms of the i world. HORRIBLE SAMSUNG
I do not like this new update at all. I can't use my game apps anymore, the icons are too small to see on the main screen. How can i revert back to the previous OS?
Terrible! Terrible! Terrible! Just updated my Samsung Galaxy S7! The interface and display lost all of its color and pizazz!!! The words and icons are tiny! It is totally unuser friendly now! My phone looks like a Samsung S1!
WORD OF ADVICE! DO NOT UPDATE THE SAMSUNG S7!!!
I just downloaded the update but taking over and hour to finish installing.. Did anyone else have this problem?
This new update is horrible it erased all of my learned words and when it doesent know a word a type it won't let me save it so every time I use it it auto correct to the wrong word, last update you could add your own words and it would remember this update won't let me use words I would like to and I can't change anything in the dictionary area all the words it knows is the only thing I can use and if I manually make it put the word in it won't do the same next hundred times I use the word or phrase, I hate the updates like this and I wish they would just release the software when they know it's not fuc*ed up and just wait a day to release it so they don't screw you over backwards cause they suck to begin with and can't get a single software they do correct the first time, hire new tech ppl and get this s*it right!
KBC, 04 Apr 2017Found this on the Samsung community board. Go to this link and post all concerns. They have ... moreBet you posted that with an updated S7. Coulda made the link a click here, not likely possible with an S7.
Unfortunately this update has ruined the phone for me. I can't look at it without feeling as though I'm looking at a cheaper quality screen/phone. My significant other has been trying to get me to switch to an iPhone for awhile now. This will be the direction I will go with a future purchase for sure. I've had enough of dealing with Samsung updates. I wish I could uninstall this ugly mess.
I get updates, yes, very important to keep virus repairs and security issues and fixes. What I don't get is why you need to alter the icon sizes, positions, clarity, colors and other phone features. This latest update has made my phone aggravating to use. I had just bought the phone in Jan. 2017 and loved it. Now everyday it just gets more frustrating. Why I ask, can't you upgrade and just offer a YES or NO to any phone icon changes. This way, fixes, anti-virus and security issues needed can be accepted but nothing else changed.
I have both S7, and the Edge. Glad I waited on doing both. the download time has gotten rediculous, and it constantly has to refresh! Worst update ever!
Since the update my Wifi turns off and on by itself while sitting in one spot in my house, approx. every 30-60 seconds the entire time I am using phone. I have checked my apps. and my Wifi settings. Nothing. It has to be the update. It started right after my phone was turned back on after update.
I hate this new update! Everything changed. If I change the theme I can't see the calculator numbers, the text messages bubbles have changed to an ugly color abs the white background is horrible!! I called Verizon to help and all they did was reset my phone and I lost my keyboard I was using, lost my WiFi's, Bluetooth's and I had to reset them up all over again! They didn't even know how to answer and fix my problems!! This is horrible update hate hate it!!!!
My phone's battery seems to suck ass now. My phone reboots by itself multiple times per day. I get notifications telling me certain apps are slowing down my phone. The phone also completely locks up randomly now. Galaxy S7. Did they even test this update?

We've noticed several random concerns with the new update. We want to be sure that all these get fixed up as soon as possible! To help our developers and bug fixers find all of these, I ask that you post this again on this thread here: https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Product-Updates/Announcement-Nougat-7-0-Update-Problems/m-p/7249...
