The government needs to ban Apple from selling these doopie iPhones until Apple brings a functional version.

How do they get a license to sell this in the first place is beyond me, a phone needs to be functional so they can sell it as a phone. The iPhone 4 is not a phone because you can not make proper calls on it therefor you can not sell it as a phone.

> In reply to silly people @ 2010-07-26 14:45 from 9xEV - click to readThats a really stupd soluton. The antenna of a phone s as mportant as the engne of a car. Being so expensve a phone i would be furious if they ddn't fix it. The price s hi so the fix should be of good quality, not a ten cent case. if it were cheaper i would expect less.

Example you buy a new ferarri and find the leather seats cut and scratched. Would you demand they replace them or would you buy seat cover for them?

Has anyone tried to put a small amount of super glue or nail polish over the gap to fix the problem? would that not solve the need for a case to fix the connection problem?

This is sad to say but Apple have got to step on their ego and fix their iphone4. Unfortunatly for them, they need a recall. I guess apple is the new Toyota!

Apple is always a Fail Producer !! ... these iPhones, iPads, iPods, and all it's stuff it's just for kids... they're ain't serious with all this stuff.... sorry Apple, I'm not your fanboy... and I never been, and I will never be... all I wanted to say is that Apple is producing stupid stuff.. and they believe that they're products are cool enough to hit the stores, but I don't think so...

P.S: Just verify 10x times a product before launching it on the sale !!!

Another setback once again for Apple it will be interesting to see what's next in the news regarding iPhone issues (antenna, manufacturing) and their steps to refund cases won’t make up for the iPhone 4's lack of function over form.

It's a shame to see so many issues with the iPhone 4 after so many people waited for it's release. What's more of a shame is that it seems Apple knew about some of these issues already, such as the problem with reception.

But Apple have created such a loyal following that people may just put up with what issues there are for the sake of owning the latest Apple product.
Personally, I'd be happier with an older iPhone - at least then the issues are all ironed out.

However, it's also interesting to see how much excitement new technologies can bring. New technology and innovation is important for new business, illustrated by entrepreneurship grants and new business competitions like http://www.ukesnc.com.

Guess it's not all bad!
