zenfone 2 with intel inside is still the best. hehehe
With a 13.8 inch screen, it is my opinion that this has got to be the new Padfone S2 that we first heard was in the works back in July of last year - Asus teased that it would be one of the first devices with a Snapdragon 820. I believe one article quoted Asus saying that the Padfone would be merged into the Zenfone line. This would be my dream device if it is a 5.5 inch phone that docks into 13.8 inch tablet that connects to a nice keyboard with a lot of battery between all the devices!!!
Oh my I wasn't expecting them to release a SD820 phone, hopefully it sells for ~$400.
Judging by their release pattern, I think the last 10k phone was their upgraded Max, launched a few days ago. And, it'd be be pointless to launch another one at the same price, so that's it for 2016. Done waiting.
Kartik singh, 26 May 2016This is a disclaimer to all those who are planning to buy zenfone 3....as the post suggests th... moreNot everyone waits for the company updates Asus has been trying to give updates fast btw they need time to overlay their skin Asus has also gone a step further and relased official bootloader unlocking tool almost every zenfone has stable custom Rom Marshmallow what more do you need
The second thing you might say is custom roms is not everyone's cup of tea btw those who are concerned with software updates know how to root their phones and install custom roms the rest don't even care about software updates most of the elderly people I know don't even know or care about software updates and most of them don't even update if the Ota Is available and they get the notification

Their tactics changed ever since then by targetting the mid-tier market.

They have been reigning the mid-high tier phones for quite some time but premium flagships, no.
And I don't think that will change at anytime soon unless they have released an outstanding flagship.
Your argument is nil.

This is a disclaimer to all those who are planning to buy zenfone 3....as the post suggests that it comes with Android 6.0.1...remember u will not get any update from asus for more than one year I'm telling this because last year I purchased the zenfone 2 and it still has the same Android version that it had when first unboxed it ie lollipop 5.0.....also the software of os of asus is annoying and bugged as hell....asus tempted me with specs....and now I ralize this what stupid decision was to buy a smartphone from asus.....

They have a shot now because 3 years ago they were making uncompetitive phones but that's changed.

Their latest Intel X series and the Z series are still manufactured to OEMs and are still available in the market.
They haven't even officially announced to move out of the mobile business.
Someone else here might have thought that benchmarks don't get their info wrong. Case in point: this article
I wonder to have ASUS Zenfone 3.
hope it zen 3 has variant of 5" 720p + laser focus. i dont mind having 720p at 5" screen. i just love taking pictures using manual mode of my zen2laser.
i would like to request asus pls upgrade speaker, ring volume as well as sound quality. Asus never ever improve there speaker.
Merwyn Fernandes, 26 May 2016Which one would you buy Asus zenphone 3 or oneplus 3...
According to me people still trust ... moreIt depends on different markets really, some companies have a grip on certain markets over others, therefore opinions will vary. I own a few zenfones and the opo nd op2 aswell. When it comes to camera quality i'd prefer the zenfone but op2 isnt bad. On the otherhand when it comes to inhand feel i definitely give my vote to the opo anyday. Havnt used a better 5.5 inch phone till date. Performance wise the op2 is Great. For a snapdragon810 theres very minimum heating on there and it can run every game on the playstore.
i cant confirm wether the op3 or the zenfone 3 would be better until they release though
AnonD-541536, 26 May 2016Oneplus3?
Which one would you buy Asus zenphone 3 or oneplus 3...
According to me people still trust Asus as a better brand than oneplus..
Asus has been there for a long time and proved time and time again with their quality products and services..
Oneplus is a relatively new brand and at the end of the day if both phones have the same specs and same price then it depends on individual choice
Whether they want stock Android with a newer brand or zenui with a more established brand
For me it's always gonna be Asus zenfone 3 as I trust Asus more than oneplus
Asus makes great phones and if thia beast is priced at Sub 300$ mark it could we the phone the beat. If it was priced higher though i do hope it has features to justify that, like an ir blaster and a good design. Im pretty confident about the camera though
asus phones have great cameras
Merwyn Fernandes, 26 May 2016Great specs with the right pricing this may well be one of the best phones of 2016Oneplus3?
