android still has lag until today.
you have to beat this weakness to win.
Damn, too much beautiful phone.

While I agree that propping up core counts are... moreIt's not the discussion about Apple and ios the discussion is whether sailfish can run smoothly on a quad core processor and 2gb ram and the answer is yes it can and whether you buy one or not doesn't make any difference to the company as all of the devices that were available are already sold out and people who have purchased them are not worried about the processor hence you don't have to worry or get tensed for the company

While I agree that propping up core counts are at most marketing drivel, the notion that quad, hex, octa or deca cores are "necessary" to run Android is downright wrong. Point no.1 is because most multi core SoCs today focuses on energy savings not straight up processing firepower. And people like you act like Apple A"x" (insert number) SoCs as the world's only "don't need more cores" SoC when you don't realize Apple routinely go for the fastest PowerVR SKU available seemingly only to them (rival SoC makers doesn't.) at every design refresh. Why do this if iOS is that efficient enough? That's right to future proof and offset potential app-side overheads. Diff thing. Not because of iOS being lean and mean itself. If A9 were quad cores I'm betting my 2 acres that batt life will utterly be crapped out not like it's that good anyways on current setup driving an FHD screen.
Apple literally "made" the 3rd party external batt case for a reason.
Jolla C = Jolla Tablet = No Product = Scam
Jolla Jolla c has worse gpu than Jolla Jolla.
Jolla , i think it is time to go back to Nokia. Your experiment doesn't succeed. Better buying your phones, i buy microsoft lumia 950 xl, if i want a vert high quality device, but without apps

Lol Snapdragon 212? What year is this? 2011?!
The phone itself in this picture looks nice. I sincerely want these great bunch of entrepreneurs to really succeed for having the balls to try something different and sticking with it. I would not be surprised if some additional Nokia people come on board and I hope you raise capital. It could be amazing what you could do if the audience did some backing but you have to show us how. Look forward to onwards and upwards.
Bring it in India. Damm good innovative OS. Love to have one but pls make reasonable price. I was unable to brought 1st Jolla as it was very overpriced.

It sold old within the same day so much for your snapdragon 212
Go research something on why android needs so much hardware before commenting on other OS
Even if Android Apps run on this os it doesn't need that kind of hardware
Fyki even some of the Android phones are using snapdragon 212 and they run smoothly
Merwyn Fernandes, 27 May 2016Unlike Android........ Sailfish Os doesn't need octacore processors and 4-6gb of ram to run ... moreIt doesn't matter what it needs. Nobody in their right mind is going to buy that with a shoddy SD212. Besides you forget that Sailfish has Andriod integration. Many Android apps do need more power to run smoothly.
"why 212?" well why not 212 ... there is not much app in the store, never mind games. it does not need to run heavy task like 3D gaming, and seems that is not intended to. This is probably a test device for the OS interface stability and performance on a new low-end chip sets. Little revenue probably be the reason this company also make low end chip set with similar design with jolla 1st, which will press fabrication cost. The interface is cool, though. I'd love to have it if it launch in my country.

Sold out already!
I never knew SD212 even existed until now. Jolla taking a piss once again. Bought the 1st Jolla phone and within 2 weeks sold at a huge loss because nobody wanted it. Very overpriced for what it is.

AnonD-508181, 27 May 2016Lol what is wrong with using android OS by meego or ex-nokia employees? Why create an OS now? ... moreWhat do you mean "now" ?, where have you been for the last couple of years ?.
maybe end is near this step is just like the one Nokia took for N950. sorry to say but I guess what I said is true. I will be sad if another young smartphone software company dies like this.
