> In reply to [deleted post]I was using Motorola A835 which supported "video call" back in 2004, where I could call anyone with a 3G phone with dual cam/video call capability on any 3G network.
And it took Apple 6 years to offer the same feature, only you can call another iphone user using wifi.
Do let me know if your "Face time" works on "mobile wifi", if it's available in your country at all. (where I live we have "wifi buses/ferries")

> In reply to Orly? @ 2010-08-04 06:54 from Ia6Y - click to readCan you tell me which phone released in Nov last year isn't being "out of date" by your standard right now?
I guess you change a new phone every month, if not everyDAY, to ensure you're always "up-to-date"....
The rest of us are mostly poor folks and be happy to see a phone to cope with the "latest" OS after 9 months...typical life-cycle of a phone right now.

NO CUSTOM ROMs are possible on milestone because of locked bootloader and im 100% sure that android 3.0 will not come to milestone as we have problem with motorola even updating to 2.2, and dont have your hopes high for 2.2, this is just a estimate/guess by O2 germany, we might never see 2.2, ITS UNDECIDED, O2 only made this tweet to shut their customer up for the time being.

How do expect a 2009 phone to get Gingerbread? Tell me, Which 2009 phone can be updateble to 3.0? In fact Milestone after all was the first android to be release with 2.0 then get 2.0.1, follow by 2.1 and now confirm to get 2.2 with such a good update cycle Moto sold 1.05 Million and became the most popular android phone. Any of you that ask about Gingerbread, Moto will release Droid 2 with 2.2 that will easily easily get Gingerbread.

from Engadget: Verizon says original Droid 'doesn't have the hardware' to support a mobile hotspot

I really didn't have much hope of this ever happening, but this is a good sign. Here's hoping Moto follow this up with a confirmation, and a full rollout across Europe, us Milestone users could really do with 2.2's speed boost.
