Its not necessary. Its because companies have deliberately made it that way!!
And I'm not against company control... Fine, you control our phones, when you have a Police warrant for the same. Or even a court order. How can you have an agreement with us on spying us??
See Google, when I migrated from Symbian to Android (had to do it sadly), it started spying on my location, just because I clicked "I agree", on a 20 page agreement which I never read, because I got a new phone and I wasn't patient enough! And that's not all, it was spying on my said voices, until I went to Google History to delete it and disable this rubbish!
Why did China ban Google? They must have a solid reason for that, right?
The world spits on Google for their policies! Literally they do.
Apple is apparently a little better or so we're told. Because while on one side Apple is on war against Police enforcement for our privacy, on the other hand, Edward Snowden believes the Apple is under NSA's eye too. Are we idiots?? No!
The smartphones from the 2006-2010 were so conservative, that I could account for each KB spent. On Symbian. A totally hacked & controlled one.
On Android I just don't have a f***ing account of what I did, or my device did, to be honest, no matter if I root it or whatever.
Provide tool to easily convert / rebuild source code from android / ios application would help...

Surely everyone still remembers how they treat the badaOS back then and look it as of right now!
Samsung should release a high end tizenOS device may be s8 tizen version this will really bring up tizen and will deliver a phone with a complete package no strings attached only problem wii be limited number of apps dont know if tizen is android apps compatible like BB

So you'll never be "safe". As for the viruses, as long as there is a software part, there will always be someone to try and hack it. At least just for fun if not for other malevolent purposes.

I will seriously consider Tizen, if it:-
1. is not a spy master like Android,
2. is a useful OS, not a no-productive OS like iOS is,
3. will not consume unnecessary battery life for rubbish stuff like checking updates and stuff, and has clear options for disabling synchronisation,
4. and is safe from viruses and spyware,
In other words, I need the good qualities of Symbian OS, in an OS of modern times...
Alien , 07 Jun 2016Tizen was never a serious OS. At least not in Europe where people demand high quality hardware... moreNice way to generalize entire population of an country. Carry on your own stupdity.
I've never owned a Samsung phone, but if they make a tizen flagship, ill buy one in a heartbeat. waited too long for a proper flagship from jolla and BB, hopefully Samsung has the resources to deliver.
Tizen was never a serious OS. At least not in Europe where people demand high quality hardware and software as well. It may have had some success in Asia and India where people are always looking for cheap devices. Why would you want a cheap az phone when there are affordable high end devices simply baffles me.. Ok, you can't afford this year's high end models. Then buy last year's devices insted of the cheap alternatives like those fortune cookie chinese brands.
I'd rather have a 2-3 year old model from Sony, Sammy or HTC anytime insted of a brand new chinese phone.
Quantity is not quality. But then again, they have no understanding what quality means..
