WOW chill guys, this guy makes sense. (not)
They could just buy an S7(E)/Note or even some of the other brands and get this feature NOW.
This is blatant Sony cutting corners in developing costs.
Justifying the unjustifiable is really funny and i always get a laugh from you guys (Sony fanboys)
The small apps was the reason i picked sony phone over HTC or Apple. Honestly speaking the whole X series announcement was a joke. What kind of phone has no 4k, mid-range chipset, and medicore camera perfomance sells for high $500's? Now deleting the small app features from the phone? I would like to see the x series sales in the next qtr.
gsmarenatony, 09 Jun 2016yet another bad decision by Sony and LG.Why LG it still has qslide apps in G5 but no multi-window well any way I liked the qslide much better
Who's been making decisions at Sony lately? I really need to see that guy.
As much as I love Sony product their smartphone business is going down the drain. I bought the Z5 after the Z2 and I thought it'll be a start of their new growth in the smartphone but bringing the x series with a high price tag and removing 4k recording, it's just plain stupid strategy. Unlike in ios whereas only iphone is the choice. In android ecoaystem, competition is tough. So either fix your price or make sure that all feature of a smartphone wil be there to justify the price.

SmallApps where really handy in lots of situations for small task like calculator, timer, notes or custom small apps made by community like YouTube floating window or voice recorder.
Not to mention that knowing Google multi-window will me limited and not compatible with most of older apps.
SmallApps are like floating widgets, there is no point of removing them if they don't interfere with system and are handy in some situations.
It's nothing more than yet another ldiotic idea from Sony
It is just the matter of time. Google introduces multitasking window in Android 7.0, so the function will be back when the phone get updated. Chill.
Removing a feature without stating the reason for scrapping it. And they are charging a lot of money for their phones on top of that. Sony is indeed on roll towards destruction.
Stupid, stupid, Stupid Sony.
Seriously what is this company smoking??????????
A very useful feature and they remove it.
I don't understand their logic.
I hope they sink even faster now.
sony is ruining everything
now their phones doesn't have 4k video recording
they are not waterproof either
no QHD display
no dual tone flash
lacks of OIS
and now they have removed small apps.
I am a sony fan but now I quit
All the oems now do is remove features.. just like google now with the app tab merge like I used to use all the time, why this? What do they gain?
small apps was introduced by sony before galaxy s2... i liked them a lot in my xperia tablet buc then but the tablet had so much connectivity problems that i've NEVER and will ever buy any sony product again even though that i'm a sony fan since sony walkman era...
gsmarenatony, 09 Jun 2016yet another bad decision by Sony and LG.That's true. Really dont understand what is the problem with Manufacturers. We are loved to use those apps, now they quit? Now I will quit X phone :(
LoL one of their more useful copies of Samsung features is getting canned.
"More features" from Sony
