I like the concept.
If they keep the price down, you can customise a basic phone to be what you want it to be rather than paying a fortune for features that you dont need or want.
Don't get me wrong innovation is great but why would I change certain parts of a mobile when I can get one completely new after two years or so bearing in mind that mobiles are already reaching their peak nowadays in performance and battery and build quality and cameras as well , it's just not logical at all for me.
sharib, 09 Jun 2016Why the hell Lenovo did not use the Moto dimple on the back for Fingerprint Sensor rather than... moreWith a fp-scanner on the back, what would they do with the modules? They would have to give every module a dedicated reader, which would cause the price to explode.
Why the hell Lenovo did not use the Moto dimple on the back for Fingerprint Sensor rather than this ugly front facing Fingerprint sensor, just to save the design ergonomic of it's own Vibe series? Are they planning to kill Moto or their Vibe series? They are confused, I guess.
Big giant rear camera lense, looks like a Cyclops looking at me. Kind of unusual looking but I like it in a way.
vino41, 09 Jun 2016Ugly home button.Anyone knows if it will have dual sim.
At 5.2mm thickness they probably are putting in a smaller battery and make people use battery mod.
They did this with moto x style, it has a poor battery to highlight the turbo charger
Why is this considered ugly by many? Looks okay to me. The moto mods concept is probably better implemented than the lg g5 modules.
All phone manufacturers are the same - They all TELL us what we want instead of ASKING us what we want. This is another example of that.
I'm excited to see how Motorola implements the modules. As gsmarena predicts, the modules will not be interchangeable even between the Moto Z families. I'm expecting fail...
The front looks really uglybut at the same time the back is really beautiful. But no one uses the phone looking at the back so its a no from me
