This seems like a good software and hardware update for the 5800, but not much more :( It seems like Nokia is stuck in a rut with their phones. I like my 5800, but why would I want the same thing in a different case when it comes time to get a new phone? I hope meego gets them to a good start, because these symbian touch phones are kinda clumsy in comparison to android and the ultra-trendy iFone.

Rumors says that its price will be 300 euro before tax. C7 also does have 8gb of internal memory, dont know how Gsmarena forgot to mention it. Btw it may announce on Nokia world this september and since in video C7 prototype seems almost ready for market release so I think it will release soon after announcement. October or mid November seems safe bet..

No matter how many times i tried diff OS: IOS4 of iphone4, Android's Froyo of Nexus One, i always wanna comeback to Symbian.. I get bored with other OS so quickly, i cant last a month.. I wanna N8!! Nokia shud release it soon.. Nothing matches the versatility of a Symbian-Powered phone. I do a lot with symbian, its like youre not tied by something.. Possibilities are endless!! I tried IOS4 and Android Apps,. Kinda boring.. Limited connectivity sucks bigtime.. You can get really great nokia apps for FREE just go to Dotsis.com.. I sold my nexus 2months ago, and as soon as N8 is released, il sell my iphone4 right away.. Im pretty bored with it.. I saw a video reviews of N8, never thought a nokia wud be that fast! I love it!! ^_^

This will compete with Android. Just look at the looks, the shape -- its like the Nexus One or other phone models made by HTC with Android on it.
As said, Nseries with destroy iPhone and in the meantime, Cseries with slaughter Android.

Actually even I dont know what does Core series means. I guess it means regular series of phones which are core strength of Nokia, so it is Core series. Btw I came to know that C series means Core series from symbian.org site..

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2010-08-20 00:47 from QScC - click to readThe real iphone is made in china too, as well as phones of many big brands. Are you saying you won't want an iphone then? It does not really matter where its made from, as long as the product quality management is of a high standard set by the company.
Back to topic, when I saw the first few blur pics of the C7 back then, I thought it was hell ugly, but now with more details I don't think its bad at all. IMHO it looks better than those budget Samsung Galaxys.
What matters is the software. To be honest even symbian^1 runs just fine AS LONG AS you don't act like a moron and install everything you can find. Its just like a computer. Optimize it and you get a really quick and good system.
But obviously, everyone expects iOS-like dumb simplicity on anything that competes with it, which is everything just 'works' with no lag, hang, or whatever of the sort. If you are that type that expects everything to simply work, Symbian is not for you.
But yeah, this is based on an old OS dating back to the early 90s (I'm serious). Thing is Nokia simply can't abandon all those years of apps and their Ovi system at the moment. Just imagine Apple changing their OS to another, more better quicker faster OS, but not backwards compatible, that meant the entire app store will be flushed down the toilet. Its the same thing.
In the end its all about choice, Symbian or not Symbian, if you don't like the software and have no intention of buying one, get the hell out of trolling it. Goes the same for the other side too, if you can't afford an iphone, don't make noise saying your whatever is better.
