I'd love either of these phones, I still have my Z30, but even on sale the prices are way to high. Yeah, going into Android with a high-end price like that was a bad mistake.
I was just reading the rumours of the next BB handset being a rebranded Alcatel Idol 4. I wasn't familiar with their devices but after checking it out, it could make for a good device as long as they keep the price down too. The specs look decent. Not sure what they would use for the keyboard version that's supposed to be coming too.
Come on BB you're not on top of the mountain anymore, and your prices should reflect that as well.

There are less bugs in Windows than there are in Andr... moreexactly hidden submenus! for an average user you are unable to find things where ios and android have them and not hide then you have app availability and customisation and tell me that it is still "better".
better, worse it doesn't matter. i had 550 for a moment and found it ugly and awkward.
personal(not paid) opinion.
good one! they can lower it by half and still will not achive any decent sales. lol
RAY, 17 Jun 2016i will buy it if they give this for $550 usd. its not worth more than that.Lol. they arent in competition with Iphone yet, so they should be selling their phones for literally 250 to get it in people hands first before they can even think about setting a price at 500..who uses blackberry..just me nowadays? haha im just saying, if they honestly want to compete back in the market again, they should first consider getting it into the people hands..and whats 1 factor which can stipulate that instantly....the price$$$$$$ start at 250 and see what people have to say in 3 months;)
RAY, 17 Jun 2016i will buy it if they give this for $550 usd. its not worth more than that.Well, now they are giving it for a dollar less than 550. Go ahead and buy it. Lucky you!!!
A pitty, last ditch effort to salvage something from an unpopluar product.
The Priv is not your average midrange phone. It is the only Android with a keyboard and a touchpad, an advantage over other flagship phones. How can these features be ignored. It offers keyboard shortcuts and icon shortcuts. It does not have a glass back, that will crack the first time you drop it or a metal back that will dent. It is constructed of space-age reinforced polymers like the latest aircraft. It has QHD screen, the best Android security, curved gorilla glass 4, not made in China, plastic amoled, an exclusive look with a genuine wow factor, and it's not a copy of anything! How does this qualify as average or overpriced? Why are there so many haters, who wish the demise of any phone manufacturer? The more, the better.
I'll get back to this when its cost gets literally down to USD 100 or CAD 150
It's a rip off because the 150 is off the original MSRP which does not reflect it's current value. Ebay seller "worldfinegoods" is selling the Priv new for $500 canadian.
Even if it was 550 cad it is still overpriced. Just bought nexus 5x for $400 shipped
Nokia perished as it chose not to move out of Symbian. BB, though accepted Android, but has to work on its pricing much more to even "enter" in the android market, "capture" market is miles to go yet. in today's world, option are many.
wow. last year's android phone with midrage cpu still official sell above 500usd ? BB make calculation again pls. don't be greedy. it is your time to race for brand name not for big money.
Almost everything is cheaper in the US, houses, gasoline, technology (TVs, cameras, cell phones, computers, etc.), cars, tires, etc..
I live in Canada and when it comes to buying things, it truly is disappointing.
i will buy it if they give this for $550 usd. its not worth more than that.

The interface and menus are very simple and intuitive, unlike Android where you have menus, submenus, subsubmenus, subsubsubsubsubsubmenus and a bunch of well-hidden controls and switches.
Windows doesn't require phone restarts, doesn't require factory resets in order to work smoothly, is always snappy and ready to do what you want it to do.
Plus the interface is the most advanced and useful out of all major phone operating systems available.

Seriously, the only thing that gave windows phone even a little bit of attractiveness was when Nokia where selling them as their main OS. Now even that charm is gone. And where is your beloved wp os now?
