Julliard, 22 Jun 2016That is completely different. Computer usually uses the DDR3 and for smartphone it is the LPDD... moreActually, now most high-end phones use LPDDR4 and PCs use DDR4
Yujikon, 22 Jun 2016if this would get a 5" display it would be perfectLook at the picture. So big....screen. No way 5"
MAT, 22 Jun 2016before they lunch the first SD820 but actually come to the market after all other manufacturers The world's 'first' 820 phone wasn't even globally released. Now they are trying again with this phone that only 1000 units will probably be on sale. All HYPE, there's no product to buy.
Anonymous, 22 Jun 2016fully agree with you.my lg g4 has 3 gb of ram and is hardly sluggish in day to day usage.I fea... moreI agree with you they use the cheap ways
This "first smartphone to sport a new chipset" bait is really getting annoying, just like how cheap leeco is, its strategy is also cheap
AnonD-463876, 22 Jun 2016That's so true, this dumb hardware race/spec war has got to stop, it's pathetic that they can'... moreSo instead let's not offer more. Let's offer less and stop advancing. That makes sense
LeEco, a capable new player in the market... Outpacing all competition in dust :) Great going LeEco... we customers love competition as well as options ;)
I must say, though they need to work a bit on software side. Build quality is nothing short to awesome. I'm using Le 1s n it's an amazing phone :)
So much tech , and their build quality is the opposite of that
My xperia SP with only 1GB RAM still works fine and stutters only once in a while!
The numbers are high but the reality is shit .That's what happened to many Chinese company phones.
Commenting from Chinese phone .LOL
Anonymous, 22 Jun 2016fully agree with you.my lg g4 has 3 gb of ram and is hardly sluggish in day to day usage.I fea... moreMore Ram more futureproof it will be !...I dont want to change phone every 3 years because it's low on ram...
This brand seems to be good in making the first 1000 latest mobiles and thats about it, whenever you see a new processor in the street! Not sure if they are really interested in serving consumers or just interested in creating hype!
nkwama, 22 Jun 2016what a shame. this phone has high RAM than my PCThat is completely different. Computer usually uses the DDR3 and for smartphone it is the LPDDR3(Low-powered). Not the same. And smartphone ram shares the cpu and gpu unlike computers; that's why we called them SoCs(system on a chips) in smartphone. If computers and laptop uses the same tech as smartphone, computers today should had been as thin as 4mm.
Welcome to powerhouse! Good Job LeEco
When will these clowns learn? First software than hardware. This is just a piece of kit with no idea behind. Who cares about those shitty streaming services for example. Give us clean Android and then we'll talk.
Anonymous, 22 Jun 20163gb ram is enough for 95% of smartphone users..more than that is just gimmicky feature used to... moreThat's so true, this dumb hardware race/spec war has got to stop, it's pathetic that they can't figure out a way to convince customers to buy a phone other than offering them more of the same. Like Note 7's Iris scanner or Samsung's new flexible screens phones, now those sound interesting than 8GB RAM and a slightly faster SoC.
Only if the price is good!
Anonymous, 22 Jun 2016The truth, 1 GB RAM is enough to Android OS. Android One series for exampleBefore, yes.
Now, no.
This is because of Android's fragmentation issues, app's background syncs and app's memory requirements.
Anonymous, 22 Jun 20163gb ram is enough for 95% of smartphone users..more than that is just gimmicky feature used to... moreOnly the Galaxy note series deserves it.
