G2 features second generation Snapdragon processor (MSM7230) which features a new GPU called Adreno 205. This guy is about 3-4 times faster than Adreno 200 found in every other Snapdragon phones today, including Nexus One, Incredible, Evo, etc. CPU core is about the same as what we have today though.

So in summary, CPU is almost as fast as current Snapdragon processors, but GPU will blow them out of water, including phones like Droid X, Droid 2 and even iPhone 4. The only phone that may have a small edge in GPU performance is Samsung Galaxy S.

Overall, this is a very good upgrade over the original G1.

If you don't know much about Adreno 205, here's a nice article for you to read:

It will have qualcoms newest 1Ghz processor that is supposively as fast as samsungs hummingbird 1Ghz and it will be running vanilla android without sense ui just like the G1, mytouch, mytouch 1.2, and if you can consider it a tmobile phone or not the Nexus One. It will be running 2.2. This is why it has froyo on the photos already and not including sense ui.

If screen images are true...looks like Froyo is already on it. Can't trust the specs everyone is throwing out until official

hot phone, but it would be nice if it slid further out and had a four row keyboard.... it has that look the N900 does, where you can't help thinking they're wasting space because it doesn't slide further.

If the keyboard is very good then I'd be willing to get this. Only thing is that when will it get Froyo or even Gingerbread.
