I believe people were mote interested in surface 3 and 3pro than surface 4, that's why they are doing that. And all because of price. Surface 4 isn't bad but it's never gonna be popular because of it's price. Keyboard $ 150 (Canadian)... are you serious ????
makes sense to focus on newer products. And I can attest to the surface 3 & 4 being a hit as i've seem quite a lot of it in my uni. especially with the lecturers...

They should lower the price in the level of average laptop. Then it will fly off the shelf...
Makes sense since its an older model. And not necessarily cheap either. If it really was strong demand then they would be more confident and show actual numbers.
They should change the name for their next generation surface. Surface 5 pro and Surface 5 so it less confusing.
Away with The old tech ;)

Well its understandable since the surface 5 will be announce soon, so its better to kill of older models and focus on the surface 4 and the upcoming surface 5 it will also make it easier for consumers to choose the newer models rather than the older less powerful models.
And for people who have not seen anyone using this doesn't mean its not being bought I keep seeing some people using this to do some office work inside tea leaf(it's the name of the case) well just saw them through the windows since I can never afford their coffee and tea.
Srb, 25 Jun 2016is normal because surface 5 will come up....I heard ,they say, there is a surface666...!, only one'
Surface 4 was more successful than 3. I think Microsoft is trying to focus on only the Surface 4 or a new model is in the corner.
is normal because surface 5 will come up....
"strong demand and satisfaction" never results in killing your product after one year.
That's it? No mention as to why?
"we have seen strong demand and satisfaction amongst our customers [...] we will no longer manufacture Surface 3"
In what world does that make sense?
