So far Xiaomi phones and Nexus ones, are getting regular security updates. Sometimes Xiaomi updates security for lets say july at the end of june, so thats a good thing to know!
Anonymous, 15 Jul 2016What if i told you that android is as secure as iOS? Both are secure if you use them correctly... moreI agree, iOS is not the best either. Currently Windows is the most secure platform, then iOS, and lastly Android.
I don't know why, but it seems that only tech illiterate people buy Android phones. (and say that it's on par with Windows or iOS in terms of anything)
It's like saying Volkswagen/Opel/Ford make the best cars - because they're cheap and popular.
What if i told you that android is as secure as iOS? Both are secure if you use them correctly (app permissions, settings, download apps from store etc.). But even like this you can get malware (for example) on both OS no matter what you do (stagefright, YiSpecter, XcodeGhost etc). Yes there was a time where iOS was better than android, but now no. They are on equal terms. You choose OS based on your preferences and your needs, but that doesnt mean that an OS is "better" or "safer" than the other or it will stay that way. People think that android isnt secure because it gives you the option to enable or disable encryption, or install apps outside the store much more easily than iOS. But most people dont and if they do there is an equal number of people that jailbroke there iphones wich makes then (on paper) more vulnerable. So as i said first it all depends on how you use your smartphone. Do your research. If im wrong prove it to me so i can do my research too. Nobody knows everything.
