1 in every 1000 smartphone user uses Lumia
Lol cant stop laughing at this report
AnonD-75819, 30 Jul 2016It was mostly because of Stephen Elop. He was the trojan in flesh sent by Microsoft. Symbian ... moreSo whilst Nokia owned Symbian and there Microsoft could implement whatever feature it wanted before the relase of a new model
Symbian I understand cannot be written for / "coded" when using touch screen.
Sybian is effective keypads only yes touchscreen NO , Symbian is trying to mould quick drying cement without the mould
A feature ONLY ever on Symbian afaik was editable field names
So if a contact Mr X had say 10 contact number instead of home 1 home 2 etc you could edit a field eg " work weekdays after 6pm" "work weekend only" so ONE contact with 10
Microsoft even got bullied by Verizon so the Lumia 950 won't appear on the largest CDMA network in the US
Microsoft do NOT and cannot be infected by viruses, this palgue consumes Android
therte have been 2 very small player release a Window 10 device
What it needs is for a major player to release a W10 phone also
SAMSUNG have relesed years ago a Windows 7 device , this was before Nokia came to Microsoft
unless these SUPERIOR O/s Blackberry and Windows stay viable
It is either Android or iOS
We need chioce you need choice
I don't want to troll or something, but I never liked WM. Sure, it was something else back in the day when symbian was the king, but it never had anything better than symbian maybe except the touch screen. I used to provide customer support for two major brands with WM. The os went OK up to one point: the launch of iphone. And after, the launch of Android simply killed WM. We were all giving support for WM, but we were all using Symbian or Android :))
WM phones simply lack high-end specs, no to very few apps, too many bugs and software problems, horrible interface. As much as I love windows on a pc, that's how much I dislike WM OS.
Frankly, WM phones are simply phones without the smart prefix. I'll consider buying a Windows phone the day when it will run the real windows, not the mini version.
I've met only 3 people owning a lumia. 2 of them had nothing to do with technology and the 3Rd one is a business woman who bought it cos she liked the design, but now hates it and is always complaining about how bad it is.
I hope Nokia will release soon high end Android smartphones. Nobody is interested in lows and mids..
There are a lot more things to be said, but I'm not into writing books :D
Peace and long live Nokia!
RIP WM, RIP!
AnonD-78022, 30 Jul 2016Sony and iPhone user here. I actually like the windows platform. It just needed to upgrade the... moreYa right 😒😒😒
if windows wont provide apps like apple & iphone , mobile osd look need to change, till date win 10 also have lot of issues , if u clear all above points they windows mobile will continue in market if not they need to close one day
Never liked WP but I love Windows 10 on my desktop-PC and would never downgrade to any Linux-version or OS X. My parents and big brother all have a Lumia-phone (520 x 2, dad has 532 or 535) and they all want to get rid of their phones - bad battery life and they don't like the OS too much.
Polen, 30 Jul 2016I really doubt you have ever used any Windos phonewp is by far the easiest os to understand out there it cant be more logical and simple for users with beautiful UI, its just apps problem, lack of higher specs midrange phones, high prices, almost 2 years without a flagship and when released - L 950's , they were design dull , overpriced and W10m hasn't been quite ready but practically in beta status..ALSO MS countless lies and frauds to customers - lies that all models would upgrade to w10, multiple release hold ups, unclear info about future etc etc certainly helped with current flop
Good. Wouldn't be able to stand having Microsoft everywhere.
very much priced lumia phones did not deserve in this market....now
Hotkolbas, 30 Jul 2016Actually nokia shiuld have stuck to their gut feelings and use the powerhouse OS mego.... had ... moreMeego was awesome, though it wasn't cut down enough for enough hardware.
Android, based off linux, was given just enough features and added to further. A lot of time went into that.
iOS, based off OS X, was cut down too heavily (for my interest) in initial forms, and has since had features added at a rate that hasn't hindered chipset improvements delivering further speed.
Meego was a powerhouse and would have had long legs.
It was before its time arguably.
Linux has only recently become mass market friendly. Lindows, ahem, Linspire wanted 'click n run' packages for installing software (like what PC users were familiar with on Windows desktop)
Meego only running well on expensive chipsets (at the time)and needing actual tech knowledge killed it for the mass market; though it could have been awesome.
Yes, it should have been. App and phone manufacturer support would have made it a winner.
These shit overpriced phones don't deserve a second life
mir, 30 Jul 2016I'll have what you're smoking.I wouldn't recommended
Microsoft killed Nokia, now it will be killed by itself in mobile phone segment.
Sony and iPhone user here. I actually like the windows platform. It just needed to upgrade the specs (future proof), plus, must offer all the basic apps that iOS and Android offers.
Just like the Surface, its better if they will create a "surface" phone version. Ill ditch the Note 7/ iphone 7, to give microsoft a chance.
AnonD-75819, 30 Jul 2016It was mostly because of Stephen Elop. He was the trojan in flesh sent by Microsoft. Symbian ... moreActually this @$$#0l£ was just a pawn of nokia acquisition. The one manipulate all of this was steve balless-mer. His stupid daylight dream was to cause the danger inc., and nokia mobile phones to fall down. By the way, it is true that eflop a pro-microshort guy as we can see he could just force meego to stop even meego will b successful. In fact, meego is another superior os besides symbian…considered "linux-symbian"…
[deleted post]Actually they have been victims most of them already sold their phones lessons learned
