Someone Else, 09 Aug 2016If you from note 5, than stop wasting money buying the note 7, wait a couple of years before u... moreAllright. though it's my decision regardless.
AnonD-569884, 11 Aug 2016It's visually bezeless, similar to the Sony XA. And it's so so quickI agree! ^o^
AnonD-234645, 08 Aug 2016I envy you! that must be a real beast. but really. should I really go for Note 7 from note 5? ... moreIt's visually bezeless, similar to the Sony XA. And it's so so quick
Mkdc, 08 Aug 2016i dont know for sure, as it was info from a friend who owns a s6 edge. Her screen protector on... moreI had the Note Edge, S6 edge+ and the S7 Edge. I got screen protectors for all of them. Regular, and tempered glass. It is much easier to get good quality curved tempered glass though.
curved screens with no bezels are the future. love it
curved screen haters you are doomed :)
I have an S7 edge.
The edge screen:
* looks good
* makes the phone less comfortable to hold that in should be
* is 99% useless (the upside down color notifications being the 1% that someone might want to use)
* touch input on the edge parts of the keyboard does often not work well
* I experience that just holding the phone can be enough to block other touch input at times since it detects slight touch on the edge screen (though not enough to trigger anything to happen based on the edge being touched)
Anonymous, 08 Aug 2016My phone doesn't have Samsung name at the front.how come? :)
i just want the whole screen all pixels can be read by my eyes all at once at normal angle. dont want the side pixels distorted, bended outwards, display for the others around me.
why make such silly decision.
curved edge is good for looking, but not best, the normal way for using.
i can tolerate non removable battery, no sd card slot. being able to watch accurate image is the most important. i prefer samsung so far becasue it was built for using, best performance screen- true black, 500+ ppi, front physical home screen, user friendly ui
can curved edge screen still be called high fidelity?
I can't imagine Samsung making such a stupid decision. They will lose a lot of customers. I don't like the edge at all. I have the S6 and I was planning to buy the S8 in spring next year. If there is no flat screen on S8, I will go to HTC, Sony, LG or maybe even switch to iPhone 7 :)

Skendy, 09 Aug 2016stupid EDGE... i hate EDGE! no more Samsung in my life!these are just rumors don't worry,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,ditching flat screen means suicide for Samsung,
Since most use their phones for more than an year, around two years, what Samsung can do is alternate between flat and curved-edge phones. So they'll have a refresh cycle of two years and easier for people to prefer one of the two they like.
One year you can have a flat SX and then later in the year a curved Note X. Next year a curved S(X+1) followed by a flat Note (X+1) later in the same year. Then back to the flat S(X+2) etc.
So you'll have even Ss and odd Notes curved and odd Ss and even Notes flat.
ljames, 08 Aug 2016Sucks for you then. You belong to the unreasonably whiny but amazingly noisy minority.Nah. Unlike you, I view every opinion that contradicts with mine as a legitimate feedbacks.
Anonymous, 09 Aug 2016Keep your opinion to yourselfWhy? Do you have a monopoly on free speech?
Dont like that idea. I've had lots of samsung phones but for me the greatest of them all was and still is note 4. Great screen, I really like the looks of it, sd slot, removable battery and remote control. Note 7 looks somewhat nice, but I'm not a fan of edge screens or glass back. Add to that lack of removable battery and thats a no go for me. If all manufacturers end up with sealed batteries I'll probably go with nexus phone, just because of updates.
Samsung always leading Apple in high-tech products
Anonymous, 08 Aug 2016a lot of Samsung Users has already said that they don't like these curved edges, yeah it does ... moreTurn off the edge side screen and there's no problem at all...
WickedWilly36, 09 Aug 2016I use edge phones and have no problem, nor does my wife. Maybe you should try to use one too.Well said 100% agree
