Looks like some great WP7 phones are making their appearance. The only thing that WP7 needs now is a good application store.
This is why there's a super amoled shortage. For this expensive piece of crap :|
3m, 11 Oct 2010And people keep criticizing Nokia for S^3... ha ha ha nicely said... sometimes i really wonder how brilliant the symbian programmers are (a full blown os runs very well on 256 ram and on shitty cortex 11- 680MHz proc using
only 1200 mAh battery... i wish visually updated symbian on laptops and netpads...)
wel done samsung ^_^ long time waiting for omina . welcome back to war omina . this will best of best phone . samsung please release it . we want omina . not galaxy . samsung i8700 omina 10/10
The reason that the Omnia 7 has a Qualcomm processor, and not one of Samsung's own Hummingbirds, is because of Microsoft's new, stricter hardware requirements. Their requirements state that the phone must be run on a Qualcomm processor, and (for now) nothing else.

Jean, 11 Oct 2010Yes, you can of course, maybe i wasn't clear.
you can have an opinion, but unless it's based ... moreSorry, I misunderstood you.
Personally I draw my judgement on the usability of the OS as a whole for my daily needs. Looks are a subjective thing, so it's hard to discuss that. I don't like how WP7 looks, I actually enjoyed WinMo in the old days (especially with the TouchWiz UI it was quite slick). Now, as for usability, the old WinMo beats WP7 hands down in every respect. I just don't understand who the new OS is aimed at. Nerds won't like it, it's too simple. Powerusers won't either, it has too many limitations (memory, file transfer protocol, limited file extentions). So maybe for the casual user, I don't know.
Anonymous, 11 Oct 2010Ehh, we have much room to speak. We can express our opinions as we like. So can you. So don't ... moreYes, you can of course, maybe i wasn't clear.
you can have an opinion, but unless it's based on experience, it just comes across as bias towards whatever you think is better.
Jean, 11 Oct 2010Have any of u used the new interface? NO?! then you have no room to speak.. I have this OS ... moreEhh, we have much room to speak. We can express our opinions as we like. So can you. So don't try to shut ppl up.
Anonymous, 11 Oct 2010512 mb ram but no multitasking! Super AMOLED display with WP7's shitty UI. And with this high ... moreWP7 does not support Bluetooth file transfers. So the BT is there just for connecting peripherals, like a handsfree. This is why they didn't make it 3.0
Have any of u used the new interface?
then you have no room to speak..
I have this OS on my ZuneHD, and its amazing.. by far the nicest mobile OS out there
and yes, i have tried them all
No real point of differentiation. Like having a V8 car running on old wooden wheels (WP7)!
Anonymous, 11 Oct 2010512 mb ram but no multitasking! Super AMOLED display with WP7's shitty UI. And with this high ... moreI agree...that was the first thing I noticed...it's one of these moments when gsmarena posts a BT connectivity available that has the version. And surprisingly, it was the old one. It may be possible of course that WP7 is the culprit here...
I like it too. And superamoled! But is there a metal on it? Or all plastic?
512 mb ram but no multitasking! Super AMOLED display with WP7's shitty UI. And with this high end configuration it has only bluetooth 2.1? Why not 3.0? aagh i really can't find out any simple reason to like this new OS.
For the love of God why didn't they do a beautiful metalic back-cover .. I haven't bought a Samsung since C100 (lulz) and all Galaxy-S/Omnia are cheap materials .. I just love the front cover , the back one looks from like it was from other phone . Will wait for the oficial WP7 announcement and see all phones
