So on what is the Desire better?
LOL is n8 anywhere near these giant phones?
I had just about decided to buy an HTC Desire, but this definitely complicates things. Tech geeks & me alike have appreciated the SGS's hardware, but overall as a lot of reviewers have stated, the SGS doesn't hold a candle to the Desire, apart from its multimedia capabilities...
But this confuses me indeed..
Any suggestions for which one i should go for?
I need your help please
I got my galaxy s from vodafone store as usual they put all there own junk onto it like vodafone 360 and slightly customise it.
My question is, can I still upgrade to Froyo or do I have to wait on Vodafone to approve it
How about flash 10.1? Is working well?
How about a review of the SGS with Froyo, GSMArena?
How about the Vibrant? does it also have an update?
Lags and Performance...Is it a Froyo issue or a handset issue?
Ahaha, still lags and the GPS still sucks.
Shame, shame.
I'm so glad I returned my SGS 16 GB after 3 weeks of testing. 599€ saved and currently in my pocket.
720p video look nice in this phone but it this is the best 720p mobile :http://neap.us/NA by samsung pro
oh efffffff
i had an update on my vibrant but something happened and its still on 2.1, did anybody else with a vibrant get 2.2
Now SGS is the best smartphone in the world, without debate.

Snake, 15 Oct 2010Hi all. the android market doesn't work in my country I am afraid to loose all the apps I inst... moreUpdates via Kies do not wipe apps.
If you look for eris market fix on google or xda forum then you can sort out the market issue. Try titanium backup [free] to backup your apps if you are worried.
And with regard to the comment about stability.
Lag and stability are not the same thing. Stability is your phones ability to complete tasks correctly without throwing errors and forced closes - I and many of the XDA community have found this fw rock solid [unlike the desire]. The lag affects performance not stability.
Root it with SuperOneClick and download OneClickLagFix from the market. Lag solved!
Its all on XDA stop whining and do some reading. Surely you knew what you were buying?
Hi all. the android market doesn't work in my country I am afraid to loose all the apps I installed (from spain) if I make the update. I am asking if the update erases all installed apps.
Also do I have to backup my data?
Thanks in advance.
This is a couple minor bug fixes over the leaked firmwares.
Sywpe gets the capitalisation correct.
GPS is fast, stable and accurate.
Seamless switching between 2g/3g.
Chrome to phone works.
Skype works.
Stability had been addressed but performance will always be awful without one of the communities lag fixes if samsung insist on sticking with their RFS custom file system. Such a shame this device is hamstrung by the arrogance of the manufacturer thinking they can invent file systems that surpass the standards already in place. If they want to experiment, kindly do it on a test bench not my phone.
not available for the netherlands just yet... :(
