Was going through this thread and seeing just one name in most comments, when it comes to durability Sony Xperia is the phone you want.
Guys, Samsung is just doing you a favor. Thanks to them, you won't be using your TouchWiz-infected phone for a while. May save you some headaches as well. :)
Shudnt hv happend.. But Samsung acting responsibly and calling all phones back, did Apple called back after bendgate.. Be intelligent people .. Samsung incurring losses bcz of this action but they are putting the customer first , customers safety first..I Respect Samsung even more after this

SaltandPepper, 02 Sep 2016Xperia T3 explodes in man's hand oh my gosh.... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-33902... moreLol lol how pathetic you are, but I give right to you since in every generation we had explosion. in Samsung low quality phones, and now the collect milliona of units of nuclear 7, sorry n7,, so you have every right to feel burnt, and you have found just one explosion of t3 just in hundred millions Sony high quality smartphones, which means that guy was te reason of the explosion, that is exactly why I say you're pathetic
Qxdir, 02 Sep 2016What about Huawei? There are sone dust particles in my Haawei Y5C camera module. Every time there is a dot in the picture I have to shake the phone and take new picture.

yym, 02 Sep 2016i like samsungs quick reaction, they recognized that there is a fault and they are correcting/... moreYou're talking about 2011, this is 2016. Apple currently has much better customer support than any other manufacturer in the world. They would never do something like this because that will never happen. Apple tests their phone much more than Samsung does because they don't pump out 10 new smartphones a day.
Grey1213, 02 Sep 2016Actually that's not for sure, because you don't know how much testing other manufacturers do a... moreThe evidence is obvious they did not do enough testing. There have been S-Pen problems, software problems and now battery problems. What is more concerning is that if it supposedly just one batch it would not be across multiple countries on different continents. It has so far been identified in India, China and possibly the US and Europe too.

It's complicated to use, poorly written, not ergonomic, constant crashes etc. I have no idea what people at s Samsung were thinking when they were making this phone...
Sammy is so eager to roll out phones almost every day, that they don't properly test their devices. I always thought Sammy was a cheap company and now I know why. Full of plastic, bad interface, full of features nobody uses and no quality control. All my friends having Sammy phones either have broken displays or broken USB port. And they all have wear and tear after just a few months of use, even with a case on it.
Touchwiz sux big time, I don't understand how could fanboys even like it. I was in a shop and I picked up the S7Edge to check it out and as soon as I saw those icons and the settings design I was like bleah!
Looks like I'm going with Sony, again. At least I know that they do check their phones rigorously and they actually have quality control. Software updates are the best right after the nexus line and their android is the cleanest.
I've been using Xperia Z (the first one) for 3 years now, I'm running on 5.1.1. Never had an error, never bootlooped, dropped it many times and not a scratch on it.
If you're a fashion addict and you need others people approval, buy a Sammy, if you want quality and a lasting phone that won't explode on you, buy a Sony.
