Samsung Ultra - D830, X820 and D900 - read the full textToday Samsung announced a new model series - the so called Ultra, which includes the bar phone Samsung X820, the slider phone Samsung D900, and the new clamshell Samsung D830...

Bought a D900 yesterday. It's pretty cool and has a lot of good features. Since i saw many ppl have asked how to switch off the key tones... well i found a better and a very easy way! Just press the down arrow button on the left side of the phone until the key tone volume is zero!! thats it. no more key tones!!!! Overall the phone is really good.

Hi,does anyone know if it is possible to keep the display on even when the backlights go off on the D900? I find it very annoying that you can't see missed calls, etc unless you activate the keypad!

Guys you can turn off the keypad tones when in standby mode using the volume keys on the left...this way you get to keep the scrolling pen text when entering a number!

Anyone know where I can get any cool themes (or even if I can upload them?), got my D900 today - cracking phone.

U legend! Been trying to turn off the keypad tone on the D900 since I got it this morning. Bit random that it only works once the dialling theme is removed but I think I can live with that.

Does anyone know when the d830 is coming out on o2 or t-mobile not through a third party like the carphone warehouse?

D900 Key Pad Tones

you can switch off these annoying tones (took me ages to figure this out) - though you can't have the keypad tones off and the scrolling pencil as well for some reason....

go to settings, then display settings, then dialling display - now chenge the font type from "theme" to "normal" (this switches off the scrolling pencil thingy) - you can now go back to the sound settings and access the keypad tones. I know this is a bit random but hope it helps

Hi Guys, I have X820 phone for 3 days now - absolutely loved it - HOWEVER (Yes there is a Fancy BUT) there is a small buzzing sound that the other person can hear when I am taking... this is very irritating - don't know if I got a lemon or its an issue with the entire series... Suggestion: Test calling in a Quite environment & ask the other person to check for buzzing sound (very irritating). I found the call quality dropping whenever there was a WIFI connection in the area - Starting to hate the phone.

To access the keypad tones, you have to go into the display option, and change display type to normal, then go into keypad tones select the request keypad tone, save, then you can go back to the display font type and change it back to the theme dialling display. For some reason the dialling display has to be set to normal for you to change the keypad tones.

One word...Awesome!!! i ever use Samsungs be4, and damn they dont have any serious software errors like nokia,SE en Motorola do. the menu speed is also fascinating, not less than a sec.No doubt samsung phones owns the best camera lens ever on their cameraphone with a vivid color screen too..two tumbs up for da g8 job.RAZR seems like a piece of rubbish paper need to b recycle,so rectangle en no stylish at all en no techy of course

I currently have a Motorola RAZR... I've had more problems with it than I can count. The software really sucks... the phone has been repeatedly hanging on me pretty much from the word go.... big mistake to have fallen for its looks...

So I'm really looking forward to the Samsung D900... I know Samsung has good technology behind their phones. And this phone for once looks stunning... any idea when it will hit Kuala Lumpur?

what is everybody talkin about?! motorola razr may be thin, but motorola is the most cheap ass rubbish you can get, no compatibility with what so ever, no inovative technology what so ever, crappy software... everything about it is rubbish... motorola is the least inovative brand on the market... they cant stand in the shadow of nokia, qtek or samsun in any way... samsung phones have relative good cameras, tft screens with resolutions motorola can only dream about, sleek software, what do you think about tv-out for word, powerpoint and excel... and so on... come on guys, do you seriously think motorola (razr, thats in fact the only thing they've got...) is actually something to considder buying??
