What I wanted from sony is a better after sales

I am sure Sony's flagship phones would do much better if they decide to increase the battery capacity by just 15%, all other shortcomings are pretty minor though. Some people keeps on praising Sony's optimization and stand by time and uses these excuse for low capacity battery, which is not helping the consumer at all.
I prefer to keep my phone for 4 years or more depending on my financial condition; so it becomes absolutely necessary for the phone to have above average battery life (especially when phones now-a-days comes with non-removable battery) so that I don't have to charge it everyday and degrade the battery before it reaches its natural life.
Bare in mind, am using my first (former)-flagship Sony Xperia for the first time, a 2014 Z2, whilst waiting for the (battery fixed!) Note7. I have owned a Z1 Compact for a short time, and before that, one of Sony's neatest phone, a tiny Android with a slide out keyboard, cannot remember the model number of that, but the camera on it was superb, even by today's standards. I loved the Z1 compact, convenient and fast, and I can understand why people love the compact series.
My current Z2 is very fast, never crashes, the ergonomics are nice with the power button on the right, it feels like a current mid range phone. (Camera is faulty, so cannot comment.)
However, it is now 2016!
The XZ looks great and I can tell it will feel nice in the hand, and I like the innovative transparent flip case/cover (on the Sony website), but:
1. Whilst it has a USB-C dock, lack of wireless charging is a bit turn off, nothing more convenient than a friction free dock experience, as those of us who have owned an LG G3, Nexus 5, or any recent Samsung Galaxy can attest to.
2. Reviews of the camera have not been good so far (odd, being Sony make the cameras for well reviewed phones!)
3. Screen resolution is lacking which means reading long texts will be harder because there won't be enough resolution to smooth the fonts. 1080P is ok for mid range, but not high end.
4. Personal issue: Composing photos or video with a rear camera that is off centre is a pain, wish Sony (and Apple) would do an LG & Samsung and put camera dead centre near top of the phone.
Either way, if I was in the market for a mid range phone for under £350, I would consider an XZ, but the OnePlus3 is still hard to beat thanks to the AMOLED display and standard memory of 64GB (6GB RAM).
Will every new Sony flagships be experimental now?
Sony is not even trying and they're going with the bare minimum specs at an extreme to increase profit margins .
"Too late, too little" is what comes to my mind. It took them a whole generation to get 4K video recording, although they had a very capable hardware. Incremental upgrades to screen technology just don't cut it out with the current crop of flagships today. AND BEFORE ANYBODY SCREAMS ABOUT QHD BEING AN OVERKILL, this is what the trend has dictated. Nothing novel to speak of, no feature worth the extra value, and a dated design philosophy that harks back to the 2009 era. The Omnibalance thing was a breath of fresh air when one device sported it... Now there are a zillion!
P.S. I've been with Sony for 4 long years. 2016 changed the equations.
I was expecting 4k screen like z5 premium and 4gb ram but other than that its good
It looks like sammy boys and others didn't understand that this poll is for sony fans, why you guys always waiting eagerly for a new sony page or poll to make negative reactions, lol pathetic.
I really like Sony's design language. And since they ditched glass for metal I like it even more. But the specs are not the best. Why still 3 gigs of RAM? Why so big bezels on front? Why so small battery? Sony, we need to talk...
Tee, 04 Sep 2016With that battery capacity I'll pass... in this day and age, a minimum of 4,000 mAh is a must. You are joking right? This is a 5.2 inch 1080p display NOT a 6 inch 4K display
Anonymous, 04 Sep 2016This is something like Z6.OH really, xperia z6 was considered to be the legend but thanks to sony who broke our hearts by not even listening to their customers.but this one is xperia xxxxxxzzzzz with some 3gb ram...specs.thumbs down sony

Sony, please launch a Plus version with a 5.5-5.7 2K screen, 3500+mAh battery, SD821 and at least 4GB of RAM. Add an FM Radio, IR blaster and shrink that bezel to at least a 73% screen/body ratio. Then I'm yours.
