I've been an android user for 90% of the time I've had smartphones, and I've never had the opportunity or desire to use or own an iPhone.
I can see the benefits of it;
- They're very beautifully designed devices that look and feel great in the hand (subjective), but as I'd stick a case on any phone I have, that doesn't bother me much.
- The software is brilliant, very smooth, clean interfaces that are simple to learn and use, for (almost) anyone of (almost) any knowledge level or age. I'm sure I'd be able to use it out of the box with no issues at all.
- Most apps are more fluidly designed for iPhones, and therefore run much more efficiently and smoothly.
- The hardware, while not the 'best in the world', is still very high end, and due to the in-house development of hardware and software, the phone 'just works', which is what a phone SHOULD do.
The reason I've never had an iPhone is the pricing. I can get a similarly high end phone running android for much cheaper monthly (on contract), simply because it's not Apple (and for that matter Samsung too).
I've never wanted an iPhone because... Well I've just never wanted one...
Brynn, 09 Sep 2016True I get it all the time on twitter when ifans boasting about how many millions sold but it ... moreStupid parents then... I see no reason why my kids should have iPhone or equally high-end Android. I earn the money and buy my the phone which I deserve, for kids the phone is only to get in touch with their parents or their mates, not to boast about who have better phone. Buying best for your kids is just bad parenting... What then motivates them to be independent and self sufficient. If they want better phone, they should save their money, get a pt job or something ... and to very least contribute the difference.
Not to mention giving £600 worth device to teenager is punting them in danger of assault and injury. So maybe karate classes first ?!
Marco Apollo, 09 Sep 20162.5 million before the exploding battery tradegy. Atleast. It was 2.5m shipped, only 1 million sold.
Marco Apollo, 09 Sep 20162.5 million before the exploding battery tradegy. Atleast. *Shipped. We received just 3 in our launch allocation. 1 was pre-ordered but the customer did not come in to pick it up before the recall; 2 remained on the shelf. Those 3 are among the 2.5M, but only 1 was even theoretically sold.
Karly, 09 Sep 2016The Note 7 has been out a month and only sold 1 million.2.5 million before the exploding battery tradegy. Atleast.
IMO you can't even have record sales if all major US carriers offer free iPhone 7 if you trade in your iPhone 6...

Brynn, 09 Sep 2016Will look forward to seeing you in tears when you spent all your money only to be covered in s... moreLol. After telling people that their iphone 7 water resistant is not a permanent feature now they admit that their black iphone scratches easily. Where are you now Apple fans? What's that you said about Note7 again? You all go back to the barn now like a sheep. Next, Apple probably admit that their iphone might explode. Now, we know why Apple cant break the record. Not a single android user gonna run to them this time. Improvement level zero.
boojay, 09 Sep 2016Probably a record-breaking number of people who don't give a $#|+Indeed. Only the minority android fanboys are commenting about this.. and giving false claims and speculations.
To us majority using Apple, its very simple. We love it, and thus we buy and defend. If not move on.
They are aware of the truth and they are not confidence any more about themselves. That's bad. The reason they implemented so many features at once is because of other mobile companies adding features and Apple only implemented few, forget about innovation, they were not par with what other companies were offering. I am very happy to see all these features in iPhone and Apple watch.
i think apple got a problem...
they should have predicted larger sales as per their own statistic, but they didnt reach the required amount, that means either they didnt have enough faith in the model or couldnt reach it..well well so in the end apple is just like samsung...well not exploding in your face but..you know..problem...no company would leave up an opportunity to take a jab at others..
Gsmarena's opinion is nowhere near to be found to be related to Apple's announcement. .-.
