Globalnicky, 15 Sep 2016Cloudmagic is out if their minds. They have been playing since day 1. Pay, free, pay again. Al... moreWhat are they going to do with users if they are not ready to pay at any point of time?
I love the application have used it religiously since late 2013 but I cannot afford the subscription due to low wages. Why do they assume people can afford a $50 email client? Why not monetize for the ones using the app integrated with salesforce or zendesk as an enterprise solution in order to generate revenue?
Do an update, get told you can use this program for 14b more days then you have to pay. I guess these people never heard of customer service. A simple email would have been really nice
They've even stolen Spark's logo!!!
It was too complicated for you to come up with your own?
To the idiots at Cloud Magic and their [presumably soon to be ex] marketing manager.
Have you chosen yet? humiliating climb down or find a new business?
iOS app doesn't launch immediately after update - all settings lost. Horrible experience. Will switch to Outlook app.
Worst implementation ever!
- No communication or advance warning.
- Circular logic for new sign in / log on prevents access.
- Cloudmagic user settings lost
- App unusable due to crashing
+ Nice new icon
I paid for the desktop client and once the update was completed I was met with the "start your free 14 day trial" message. The promise of the ClodMagic developers was that if you purchased the desktop client they would steadily roll out the features which where missing compared with the mobile versions of the app. Now that the features are here the developers have rebranded the application and decided the $30.00 we paid for the desktop client isn't enough and want us to pay for an annual subscription for the features we where promised in the first place. Well the 'magic' has certainly disappeared. Very disappointed!
Upon learning I have to pay such a ridiculous amount, I didn't even bother updating CloudMagic. Immediately deleted it and moved over to Polymail.
This was really a very good email client. But $65 per year is waaaay too much to pay for an email client, even one with as many bells and whistles as this one has. They seem to justify the price increase by pointing out all the new functionality that's been added, none of which really interests me. I got CloudMagic because it was the only email app that allowed me to save email messages to my calendar or to other applications like Onenote or Evernote. I'm sure there are other applications out there now that do the same thing, but at the time I was looking for an email client it was the only one I could find that had this functionality.
There is no way I am paying $65 a year for this app. It's a shame because I would have paid up to $20 but they have priced themselves out of my market. If anyone has any suggestions for a free email client that has equivalent functionality I'd love to hear about it.

I had Cloudmagic on my iPhone 5s-- there was no option to keep using the free service at all. Just morphed into Newton and asked for a $70 (CAD) subscription fee.
Anonymous, 15 Sep 2016Using Outlook, gets the job done! switching to outlook
I have been using Cloud Magic for a year and it really make sense to use your iPhone for email notifications because it comes faster than ever. Even before your Google Chrome Browser or Outlook beep, your mobile will alert you. With limited features free plan works perfectly who don't want to switch. Outlook App is another option if anyone would like to switch becuase now they support Gmail, iCloud, Yahoo etc.
Well, I'll keep using it for free! I don't use the pemium features, but makes a good free eMail client.
"Just something to keep in mind before you run around giving 1-star rating and even driving away people who wouldnÂ’t mind paying."
Haha! Are you being paid by them? 1 star reviews for everyone! They can do what they want but they can't expect everyone to be thrilled about it and kind in their reviews.
Too expensive. What a greedy and treacherous dev!
I once tried the app before this change but I couldn't find anything to get excited about.
Unlike Google Inbox, this app notifies me of gettong junk mail... rubbish.
Typically I don't post on forums but this one really irritates me. Going to check my email I realized that CloudMagic was no longer in my apps. Hmmm...where is it? No idea? Decided to check it out on Google of course and this is what I find!
Extremely disappointed with all of this. I have no issues paying for an app that goes above and beyond for their users and customers. But the way all this was done shows a complete lack of respect for the end user. Maybe I got a notice in my email, I don't remember seeing anything...I can tell you I would have seen a popup in my face when I opened email telling me that CloudMagic was changing. Was any thought put into how to better roll this out to customers. Apparently not!
So what now? Are there any good email clients for Android out there that go above an beyond what Outlook offers and don't gouge you for payment. One that syncs with Tasks, email, todos, calendar; can do read and send/receive receipts...and can connect to multiple email addresses (google, outlook, private domain, etc.).
Guess I'll have to make one!
