IPhone knows the difference, but you don't need mind reading to do that :)
My screen has never woked up accidentally, its very well done.
Picking up the phone don't wake up the screen. For example if you have your phone on the table and you put in in your pocket from there, it wont wake up the screen.
Samsung will always lose to apple in launching app/loading time unless samsung uses faster storage

Always on display only shows notification icons, not the content. If you mean the lockscreen then that's the beauty of Android, you get given a choice to only allow notification icons in the lockscreen or the notification content itself. It also has vibrate alert when you pick up the device if you have recieved any notifications. So many options.

In 2016 if someone was to ask what phone they should get I wouldn't bother mentioning performance, since its about the same. Maybe slightly smoother on the iPhone. It mainly comes down to which os you prefer, camera, display, etc.
Note7, 19 Sep 2016Apple needs to stop the smoking noise - hisssss!Samsung needs to stop the explotion of Note 7. hahaha
Does open a website fast mean anything special? I was of the impression that it is what the device can do make one would want to get it. The Note series of phablet is the most productive, versatile on the market currently so getting there fast and what after? Look and close?
AnonD-276592, 19 Sep 2016iPhone is for gaming.Oh really? Or you can just say iPhone is good in gaming. Also good in other things. right?
As a developer i know why iphone is fast, it's not the processor it the language in which the apps are made. Android apps are based on java but ios apps are made in c language so c language is middle level and faster to run but java is high level and is slow for conversion to machine language.
Still, those seconds that proved iPhone 7 faster is not enough to dispute the fact that it cannot substitute the productivity on the note. Dont care if its slower a bit, it is actually fast with productivity on it. Unlike apple, it is fast, yes, but you will feel the annoyance of the missing productivity features. Thats it
AnonD-442781, 19 Sep 2016Disappointing performance from the iPhone, seeing as how the only place it's supposed to beat ... moreNo noticable difference?
IPhone 7 rendered Timelapse video in 11s while note 7 took miserably 27s.
That is very pathetic from Samsung and shows how superior iPhone performance is
AnonD-584405, 19 Sep 2016Well, give iPhone 7plus a QHD display.. A dual radios for two sim, a componant to run SD card ... moreYour assumptions don't address the root cause. It is not about screen res, radios, skins, etc. It is about optimising the phone components. This is a skill or an art. Apple is good at that. If one day Apple decides to do all that it will never compromise the phone and give such as an excuse. Android has a problem of specs race.
T, 19 Sep 2016Not a worthy comparison. The fastest android phone is from huawei kirin based chipset. Look at... morePhonebuff had already pit the iphone 6s against most android flagships, including the 6P and P9. The iphone still beat them. Now the 7 is even faster. But the general consumer wouldn't really notice that. Unless they have both phones on hand at once. But who even does that, aside from youtubers and overly privileged people?
Disappointing performance from the iPhone, seeing as how the only place it's supposed to beat the galaxy note is performance. Basically neck and neck, no noticeable difference unless you were to have both at hand like the youtuber did, and even then the note 7 won utility while the iPhone won gaming.
iPhone is for gaming.
Anonymous, 19 Sep 2016The only good thing in iPhone is the CPU. But Android flagships are better in all other aspect... moreIn these tests the much faster nand of the iPhone is important. Don't know why, but the note 7 doesn't even beat that many android competitors. For example a one plus 3 beats it read and write.
Bri, 19 Sep 2016Hmm, I don't mind waiting a few milliseconds more to open an app if it means it saves me hours... morePersonally I would prefer raise to wake to always on display. Besides conserving battery, it is more private. Anyway a smart phone must be smart enough to only perform the task you want to it do that time, not to always be performing it even if the task is not wanted.
That Timelapse render really shows the power of new A10 chip, iPhone 7 11s vs note 7 27s
That is over two times faster rendering, just crazy performance.
For comparison 6s rendered it in 16 second, so new iPhone 7 was noticable faster than 6s
AnonD-286474, 19 Sep 2016Note 7 catches fire and smokes iPhone 7 backLOL! :D
Hmm, I don't mind waiting a few milliseconds more to open an app if it means it saves me hours in a year by having to switch on the iPhone display to check the time, notifications etc!
