AnonD-551566, 23 Sep 2016just a comment, facetime isn't secure if ur connected to a wifi that has WEP security, i know,... moreIt's more secure than allo. Use your mobile data.
Why do you forget that its Google?? What expectations do you have?
Privacy expectations from Google... haha haha haha (x10) :D
Just continue on Whatsapp and don't make a parallel world now. I don't want 2 IM clients hogging up my phone battery. Plus, no use trusting Google. Have Android because there's no decent choice.
I'm in no mood to make my PC, my phone OS and my Chat client belong to any one company.
Although its not protecting our privacy anyhow, which has been snatched because its the modern age, and if I protect my privacy then I can't work and earn anymore.
But still, we got to try our best from these so called "privacy concerned" corps.
AnonD-70078, 23 Sep 2016Use FaceTime on iPhone. It's live in that moment and it's not recorded anywhere. I wouldn't ... morejust a comment, facetime isn't secure if ur connected to a wifi that has WEP security, i know, WEP is hardly used this days but just saying it's not a 100% secure thing ;) still for other connections is truly encrypted (as far as we know) ^_^
k9cy666, 23 Sep 2016almost all of you you are concerned about their privacy, google everything, posting and sharin... moreeven though u have a normal point of view since some people don't care about privacy, this can go with a number ways of issues, i'll give u 2 easy examples that might not apply to most common ppl but are relevant, first imagine 2 people chatting about robbing a bank and they get away with it except for the chats which the police order google to give them as a prove of the rob (still invasion of privacy but has a "good" outcome), now think about a CEO of a medium company with a billion dollar idea texting his most trusted partner to give opinion, a few weeks later google announces that idea as its own cuz they saw the chat and makes billions out of it (inavsion of privacy with a really bad outcome)
again, to normal people (aside bank accounts for example) it's not a big problem, but it can be for other ppl or in some cases were it's not "acceptable" to invade the privacy
thoughts? ^_^
KickAss Torrents founder Artem Vaulin was arrested after *Apple* handed over records

So no matter if you're using Android or Apple, these are just US govt front/infiltrated organisations who CAN and WILL look inside-out into your phone & internet history.
Here's Snowdon explaining how on Vice: http://www.youtube.com/shared?ci=y9ZNCLWdWjY

I wouldn't use anything like these
Is this a surprise? How do you think the "assistant" can do its thing without reading all your content?
This is also Google's way to mine data without requiring people to have a google account (only a phone number is required). Genius.
It's hilarious how people were up in arms about encryption, etc, and then they simply turn sideways on this. It'a amazing how much free pass people are giving Google.
almost all of you you are concerned about their privacy, google everything, posting and sharing everything on fcbk ,insta, twitter, likedin etc etc, browse the web etc etc etc... and you are concerned either if google, whatsup viber or whatever are using encryption or not...
Seriously? Who you think you are to deserve being watched? or you thing google apple etc are interested to know how you doing, what you eating or if you are tired or at the gym?
You've already gave them and keep giving them all the info they want...Stop acting as CIA wants you dead! You are NOT important at all...
Is viber end-to-end encrypted? Does it store your information? Anyone know?
minori_aoi, 23 Sep 2016Nah, I'll stick with WhatsappDo you think Facebook spent $19B buying WhatsApp to save you privacy? LOL
> use Signal or WhatsApp that have forced end to end encryption
Both use Google Cloud Messaging to deliver messages. Though Google won't be able to read the content, it will know who and when you chat with.
Nah, I'll stick with Whatsapp
*sigh* so many people act like they're terrorists and have top secret plans that nobody can know -_-
Let them know when I'm going for a movie or what I'm watching on TV, like I care xP
Well, it makes sense now. They want to learn how people talk/chat with each other (machine learning). Thats the only reason they released a messaging app in already flooded app market. Whatever they do to android system, its nothing, not significant for them, it was always about "Google Search". May be Apple as a company a bit ahead of Google in market ratingt. But the amount of data they possess, "Google" is going to be a HUGE, unimaginably powerful & incomparable to any other company in the planet earth.. (They already are!). With great power comes great responsibility. I hope they stay responsible.
Oh come on. I know for a fact that Facebook reads your messages and gives you friend suggestions and advertisements based on your texts. It's all a sea of information and everyone is enjoying it
Yep, if you're planning to bomb a train or something, then make sure you use something else. Lol.
But seriously, no proper sms support means its DOA. sms is the only way it could begin to compete with Whats App. And for some dumb reason duo is a separate app too.
GOOGLE = CIA in case you didnt know it by using Android till now.
This sound like typical BS from google as an excuse for why they need to steal our private data...
Don't entrust them with ANYTHING you would not send on an open postcard....
Google will spy on you for the Americans regardless of their "privacy" policy. Just look at the Snowden leaks, they publicly tell you they value your privacy then send your data onwards.
It's a joke...
