You output 1080p video to your TV through your phone hooking up to a charger through DLNA or HDMI.

why would they go with Samsung. they shulda stuck wit HTC. Nexus One was better than this. This doesn't even have anything revolutionary, just same old Galaxy S with Google stitched on. Its stupid how Samsung comes out with like 10 smartphones and all of them are the same. Why is Samsung even so big now. They are like LG and I would never buy from them. This new Nexus is pissin me off.

best of all

how you display a movie in hd 1080p in 800x480 screen?, why you need hd 1080p for a screen that can not support the native 720p resolution

also is the power cost to reduce image from on format to screen size

Why do people want 1080p videos on, at best, a 4.5" screen? So you can squint your eyes and strain them so you can wear thicker glasses? Output them to HDTVs? Each file of .mkv 1080p is 8GB or more. It would take a long time to transfer them over microUSB much less wi-fi... I just want a smooth running machine with a battery life that lasts a lot more than what it is now for these battery-juice-sucking-vampire phones... of course that needs synergy between OS and hardware...

erm, the Nexus S was also delayed for this reason, not cause of dual-core, but cause Android 2.3 isn't ready - now forcing Google to re utilize situation (from the dual-core overload next year)and optimize 2.3 for those processors (Gingerbread and Honeycomb to join together is very possible at the moment)

Samsung i9100 first Orion based phone is to be RELEASED!!!! in couple of month
Tegra 2 was ahead of everyone with dual-core for almost a year, yet it appears that Samsung will once again be the first to release the phone that is the FAR more technologically advanced than anything else on the market - aka Orion, world's first 1080p -capable, and powered by a yet to be unveiled 3D super AMOLED aka amoled 2, source from a tweeter, stayed tuned - just unbelieveble

> In reply to TechAbstract @ 2010-11-14 19:52 from 4cSD - click to read27FPS in Neocore is horrible. Galaxy Tab gets 52-ish in videos on YouTube at the same resolution. If Tegra can't do better than that there's no good reason for anyone to wait.

If this phone is shipped with Orion (read: ) then it will OUTPERFORM Tegra 2, even for 3D games! I hope this turns out to be a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED device. If this happens, I'll be the first one in the world to buy this!

> In reply to [deleted post]Guess it doesn't matter if Samsung did, because it's running vanilla Android.
