Exchange with Samsung W2016, sell it, making 400 bucks there my friend.
A recall is not good, but these things happen. It's kind of expected that short term sales take a hit, but if the company fixes the problem and is seen to act honorably, it's certainly no long term pain.
But when the supposed fix is no fix, then it moves to a different level: things like this result in substantial brand damage (the Note series may now even have to be renamed), in legal dramas and possibly some severe government restrictions.
Samsung best move with great care now.
I'm starting to believe all this conspiracy stuff about bring down Samsung, not a fanboy really my last three phones have been Blackberry, Iphone, Huawei. Got my first Samsung, a s6 because my BB was getting shitty and it was free to upgrade to the s6 with my plan... I like it but am by no means a Samsung enthusiast... BUT WHAT IS HAPPENING?? Do they suck now or is a overhyped defect?
I would Replace it with an New IPhone model, No goes back to Low quality control.

Sprint finally conceded that the Note 7 is a major blunder. Hopefully other carriers do the same.
