It not Android Slow it's Samsung has some issues with the updates
using HTC Desire with 2.2 Froyo couple of months now enjoying like
anything waiting for 2.3 now

This is so not true. Up to a few weeks ago only Desire, desire Z and HD, N1, few motorola and a couple of lg had the 2.2, officialy of course.

gsmarena is so android crazy. How many times are they gonna show us android pie-chart. I mean chart showing various OS percentage might be informative but again and again showing just Android versions is ridiculous.

if you guys want to the minute update to latest android OS.... get Nexus phones.

I have a HTC Wildfire with the software version 2.1 . Does anyone knows when the 2.2 update is going to be available ? I'm from Romania by the way

Due to t-mobile and orange becomin one has made us all wait much longer for the froyo update and its sooooo annoyin, i rang orange and they said it could take all the way upto jan 2011 to get froyo update for my sgs. Gggrrrhhhh might aswell wait for 2.3 gingerbread

Is this devices that actually have updated their phones, or is it only phones sold with the possibility of updating?
F.ex.: Does a Eclair-running Galaxy S run as Froyo, cus it can be upgraded?

I believe all of the phones that are still stuck on 1.x or 2.1 by the end of the year, won't get that new version unless you root hack. The phones with good specs and 2.2 should run 2.3 fine.
