Tann Hauser, 21 Oct 2016Do not generalise. Samsung and Apple users only, for now, should be on standby. I womder, D... moreI generalize simply because mobile phones are very sophisticated with all sorts of hardware stacked in it. So better be careful I dont know if Apple uses Samsung's "ow quality battery maybe they use their own low quality battery. In either case its hasnt been determined if the battery is the issue. Could be an internal component maybe that comes from a common supplier.
This is all fake. A guy explodes his i7 In microwave.. Burns his car seat later and shows the world, Apple is same as Samsung. All BS done by Samsung fan/employee in order to take down Apple in BS manner after their loses. I have seen note 7 bursting live. I bet you keep i7 for charging for a month without touching still it won't burst. THAT'S APPLE.
AnonD-600405, 21 Oct 2016Damn. Let see how this goes. I think all users immaterial of brand should start taking care of... moreDo not generalise.

I womder, Does apple use samsung low quality batteries too?
Lesson here is any lithium battery regardless of brand due to chemistry and physics can smoke. In the case of Samsung it's not failing any more than normal but just hyped up by media hysteria like ebola fear.
Anonymous, 21 Oct 2016Be careful of what? Our handsets going up under standard conditions? No, using it under extreme conditions, over charging it especially with non-OEM cables and leaving it unattended in a car with the windows rolled up under the sun -_-

I have a friend in middle east that has an iphone 7 but he's battery never overheats even if he uses it outside, the climate here is very hot

However, let us wait and see how big an issue this really is
Its a curse of note 6 for sure

Note brand dies, the rest of the brand still survived. Glad Samsung have another flagship, plus the budget and midranger. But if iphone 7 dies, the whole smartphone brand dies. No more Apple. They gonna do everything to blame this on the user.
DroomBringer, 21 Oct 2016Well said, but Australia is not hot as the equatorial countries!Australia is not all over hot climate at all. It's not even summer and he was by the beach. I recently moved from Australia to Canada and Toronto is more hot than Sydney overall with humid index as any car can go the sun. I suspect something could have been wrong with the phone as its not isolated and people have been leaving phones in cars for years. So something might be wrong given its happened to a few of the same models in different places. Apple have acknowledged and investigating.
Now, I'm just waiting to see if there is anyone out there whose N7 exploded, opted a cashback, purchased an iPhone 7 and had it explode too. :D
If that happens im sure he will be investigated for fraud haha

Now Apple fanboys will cry that Samsung is sabotaging iPhone 7 and Apple's reputation in return.
P.S. I am in no way a Samsung fan either.
Now i feel like, some Chinese hackers are doing some creepy stuff to , bring down those global leaders in mobile segment, for their home country's benefit... This is entirely a thought, but it is very very possible.
Anonymous, 21 Oct 2016What makes you say that? The battery seems to be more intact compared to the Note 7 issue. Of course, pics of the display would have helped, as the battery gassing event seems to leave a telltale pattern on the display
