Hmm well ... this is a phone for people who dont have a problem with funtionality or money for that matter.

They probably have a top of the line PDA in one pocket anyway.

So keeping a classy fone along with a classy S class or a 7 series wont hurt ... or wait ... let me rephrase that ... keep a S class AND a 7 series along with a Cayyene and a big mansion.

Get real guys, these phones are from Nokia even if they are branded Vertu ... What does that tell you? Only one thing ...

These are pieces of crap, no matter if they are made of exclusive metals and precious stones, ultimately the functional part sucks, bit time, like all Nokia phones be it a lowly 1000 series or E series or 8 series or 9 series or N series.

Buy some real phones - get yourself a Sony Ericsson or Motorola...

Nokia Rocks!!! Yeah .... (read: Nokia manufactures rocks)

I like these phones, because when i see someone with one i get to laugh and point, as they probably get in their £17000 Mercedes A-class go and sit in their £60 seat at the Chelsea game, then pay £20 for a service station sandwich on their way home.

Fools are funny

It took a while for Vertu to release a new handset. The old one was way to old!. I dont understand why they released the Ascent line. If Vertu was suppose to be top of the line, they should stay top of the line. Leave the "affordable" line to Nokia such as the 8800. There are people who but Ferrari Enzo, there are people who buy a Maybach 62, so there will be people who will buy Vertu phones!.

Benq-Siemens EF81 is made of stainless steel, mineral glass, brushed carbon back and a magnesium body.

It's much cheaper, and wayyyyy more functional than these crap Vertu is dishing out.

It's a pity that only the highest end phones have metal chassis and cases. I would be willing to pay a little extra to get a weighty stainless steel phone without the Vertu brand name.

i can't believe any real phone enthusiast would be excited about these dressed up pieces of fluff, it's like a car enthusiast getting exicted about a cheap car like a Kia because it's plated in silver and gold with wood and leather trim.....its still a Kia!!

even if you add a once touch concierge service to a cheap piece of crap car, it doesn't make the car any better, just like dressing up a bum or country hick in fine clothes make them inherently more classy. the vertu phones are the same way, for ppl who get easily dazzled by superfluous bling

If I were rich I won't buy this Vertu nor the brick N93, I prefer to buy Black Diamond instead.

Mmm.. i think i agree with Happy User. frm my point of view, its hardly to see Nokie brand with top notch quality. my only favourites frm nokia is 8000series business phone. If u talking abt cameras? I still not satisfied with current 3mp output. I preferable get the real Digital camera. Vertu really hav those good architecture, as i can see. :)
