the engineer who made those tolerances probably was burnt alive by the shareholders
possibly only a fraction of all notes are exposed to self-cremating along with attempt to take owners life, due to differing dimensions of each device withing the manufacturing tolerances. just a small miscalculation!
Who is this unknown Instrumental company and what's their background?

how do you even know that? I know, you just made that up to show people how stupid you are.

Samsung was just ONE FREAKING DAY earlier to announce the new Galaxy Note
Aren't you guys tired of going back and forth on this S7 Edge with a stylus called "Note 7"?. I personally feel irritated each time samsung try to cover up their hasty flagship mistake. One thing I have discovered about asian mobile firms is the culture of mobile phones mass product, samsung was actually in haste to capture some market share before the released of Iphone 7. They didn't even bother to run test on those devices atleast 2 to 3 weeks before its official launching, had they paid any attention what happened to S7 edge with a stylus woudn't have happened.
I refuse to buy planned obsolescence phones.
Yes, less than 10% seems good until one hot day, or a hot battery, does which all batteries will do eventually (it has happened to my iphone but its safety margins where good enough for it not to explode), until... booom! ...and you discover that 'it looks good' was not enough for every day.

Didn't you read this news? It clearly said battery have to have that 10% gap because the battery will expand itself with time to fill that 10% gap.
This would explain why the explodes are very random.
Someone Else, 05 Dec 2016I think this is maybe the best explaination we have about the Note 7 yet. I suspect it's al... moreI hope Galaxy S8 have 2600mah battery. Just to be safe and so that Samsung can cramped all the hardware in a super thin phone. No need for a big battery in tiny slim phone. I rather have a safe phone with small battery than a dangerous ones with a battery too big for its own body.
Is it Li-Pol??? Previous reports mentioned Li-ion.
in any case, this is the perfect proof that NON-REMOVABLE BATTERY designs should be banned.

The exception to this are with removable batteries that are in their own plastic frame that it can "breath" within.

Anonymous, 05 Dec 2016Grow up and get a grip.Umm....the company that Samsung "blamed" it on was their own company. Another division of Samsung was making the batteries but when this happened they switched to a Chinese company that was also making the batteries but none of their had caught fire at that time. Granted the phone had only JUST been released in the market that the Chinese batteries were being sold in.
It was referred to the internals of the battery not the externals.

Anonymous, 05 Dec 2016What to buy now ? A rubbish LG ? Or just wait for the next Sammy and hope they've learnt from their mistakes. One bad device shouldn't make you boycott an entire company. That's just childish.
