Jeffdvx, 11 Dec 2016I'm amused by the fact that "no home button" is listed as a possible deal breaker, that thing ... more*lower bezel front facing speaker (I think my original comment was clear enough though)
Sajjadfaisal, 11 Dec 2016Only edge variant. Glass design. And these are confirmed. So s8 will be no buy. My no buy s8 issues :
No 3.5 jack
Back Glass brakes easily
Very high price
I'm amused by the fact that "no home button" is listed as a possible deal breaker, that thing is disgusting. Removing it would make some space for a bottom firing speaker -> front facing stereo speakers -> now that's appealing. Just keep the 3.5mm jack and make sure the damn thing doesn't blow up if you so much as look at it the wrong way and that's it.

No 4k screen for me since I choose Samsung only due to gear vr. There is a lot of decent Chinese phones with half of the Samsung's price. With 4k screen watching movies in HD on your private cinema would be possible.
If it only comes In a curve I don't want it..they break way to easy! I would prefer to have some color choices as well.
Biggest dealbreaker - the name Samsung is on it
I plan to avoid Apple and Samsung smartphones for a long time. I hate iOS and don't like Samsung's bloated skin, glass designs with a useless curved display, and how they copy each other. They might be #1 & #2 with mobile, but both are frauds like Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.
Now other products from them like a notebook and 4K smart TV is a different story. Apple's best products are still computers even though they sell the worst. Samsung excels in TVs. LG V20 or any future smartphone with removable battery is a must. Motorola and Nokia make better phones. Avoid Apple and Samsung mobiles for as long as you can.
Oh you haven't seen pitchforks yet until Samsung removes the 3.5mm jack. 😃😃 This will be a fascinating show, February can't come soon enough
All four option available are not dealbreakers for me. I just want Samsung to make the edge display less pronounce like they did with the Note 7
Alien , 11 Dec 2016I'm not a Sammy fan, but if they want me as their customer, they should ditch the Lagwiz and t... moreIf Samsung ditch TouchWiz (Samsung Experience) , then they would lose more consumer than they would gain.
How about none of those?
All phones do all the same things with at least 90% fidelity. No need to buy the best of the best anymore , unless it is undisputably the best of the best.
A phone with sealed battery will never be the best of the best. I haven't experienced "range anxiety" (whether my phone will make the day or not) for 5 years now (since the original Note), I'm not going to start now.
I'm still on Note 4 and I can't think of a thing that is significantly worse than the S8, but I *can* think of one way it is significantly better (two in fact if you include CM/software support that I'm getting regularly).
clean android and fast updates will help
deal break would be high price and low consumer rating
Sorry Samsung , no headphone jack = no buy
Why try to make our quality wired headphones obsolete ?
We don't want audio quality to depend on a crappy Dax inside an adapter , nor do we want to spend more money on buying expensive wireless headphones when we have wired ones already .... Looks like HTC, Lg and Chinese brands are the way to go ....
Phone should be geometrically balanced means upper and lower bezels should be same. But screen to body ratio should be greater than 82%. QHD screen is must for vr lovers. Should not laggy means sufficient ram and suitable speed processor must. Premium and durable build must. No bloatware. User replaceable battery is mandatory. Front camera department should balance with rear. Design should change. 100gr to 135gr weight is ideal. Battery endurance rate should more than 100. Software update support should more than 5 years.
