As they have discovered the case of the explosion issue then maybe they will relaunch the note 7 with the issue finally fixed!!!! (wishful thinking). The note 7 was the first smartphone in a long time I got excited about :-(.
There got to be more to it than internal space margins. Because if that was it then they could just have replaced the battery with a slightly smaller one.
I don't buy it. Samsung has never been able to reproduce the problem in the lab (which is understandable because only one device out of tens of thousands were affected), consequently chances that the problem was correctly identified is very low.
It is very well known that battery issues like this are notoriously difficult to diagnose. And historically, very frequently the real cause is never identified with certainty even after a decade.
AnonD-8723, 17 Dec 2016Can't wait to know the real cause! What makes you sure that they will tell the real cause ..
They will only tell you what is in the good interest of their company.
The real cause will come sooner or later but not now ... may be after couple of years.
Anonymous, 17 Dec 2016Well if it's cos of the tight space giving no expansion for the battery when it heats up, then... moreI agree. If it really turns out to be just a too big battery, fit smaller batteries and sell at reduced cost. That way everyone will win, including the environment. I for one sure would like to buy one, if the price is right.
Anonym, 17 Dec 2016Too late, we are half-cycle now... time to release a new model.Well if it's cos of the tight space giving no expansion for the battery when it heats up, then they can just make the battery slightly smaller and call it Note 7 mini lol. Won't have to destroy all the phones and save the environment.
'Meanwhile, Instrumental suggested ....'
LOL
That was suggested from the day first of the ''explode reports''(even kids came with such suggestion)....but it was debunked.
I still admires Samsung phones.
AnonD-94869, 17 Dec 2016Now they know the problem. Fix it. Start the production againToo late, we are half-cycle now... time to release a new model.
Samsung must solve and close the case of the Note 7 as soon as possible. Then must focus everything they have and can on the S8
AnonD-94869, 17 Dec 2016Now they know the problem. Fix it. Start the production againWont happen the general público has a bad impressionante of the device and its too late into the year to launch a flagship
Whatever the cause, i'll still be getting the next note. Bo huaweis, xiaomis, apples, or lgs could ever replace the s-pen toting note series. Period.
We're eagerly awaiting
Some say the display is the cause of explosion. Oh wait, the upcoming S8 will come with the same display right? Baaaaammm!!!!!!!!
I doubt Samsung will reaffirm Instrumental's analysis. Because if it is, they will lose customer's trust. Like, come on, a 2016 flagship model that has very basic design flaws?
I'm sure Samsung will try their best save their faces in this one.
Imagine the guy out there who made the decision that caused this issue.. he probably likes to see the world burn. Yes, burn.
Can't wait to know the real cause!
Yes, a collectors (safe) Note 7 edition would be a good idea.
It was the ghost of the Note 6 that they recklessly abandoned. It cursed the Note 7.
Can you just make a tad smaller battery?
